  • I hear it gets real in the whole foods parking lot.

  • Went to WholeFoods when I visited the US and was blown away. Much better quality then any supermarket in Europe I've seen and also much better then all the other I saw in the US as well!

Someday we will have WF in Iceland :)

  • SCREW WHOLEFOODS! they suck and are mean assholes! Spread the word, don't go there or you will be SORRY!!! Don't say I didn't warn you!!!!

  • I thought this was a Aphex Twin song............

  • That Whole Foods has a sign which says cameras are not allowed.

  • whole foods may not be perfect but it is better than walmart in a lot of ways

  • How is this any different from a Randalls, Kroger or Albertson's? Looks like an everyday grocery store to me...

  • @metube27 Whole foods market is ALL organic.

  • Whole Foods is for supermarkets what Nordstrom's was for dept stores.

It's the most enlightened/evolved idea in shopping since Fry's electronics superstores or Home Depot.

  • URGENT !!!!! Rearch HR 875 now!

  • All of this WF hatred is ridiculous. I work there, and used to work for Wild Oats. Their standards are incredibly high, and no, they don't lie about it. If an organic piece of apple touches a non-organic one, or cut with a knife that cut conventional produce, we can't sell it as organic. We have tons of local produce, bakery items, dairy, and more. All of the lights are LED for energy, they put forth tons of effort to recycle/compost. Not trying to pimp WF, but they are VERY strict.

  • Honestly, I'm a socialist and shop organically. I chose to live in a city so i don't need to own a car. I volunteer in local food markets for disadvantaged homes. I also campaigned for the green party in Ireland. I'm hoping one day for someone to use the public's want of eco-friendly produce. WF does not. I can list many reasons why WF usurped the issues and rolled back the reforms the organics movement wished for.

I hope people just stop being so reactionary and do some research on the topic.

  • great. now lets talk about lowering their ridiculous high price.

  • you know what would lower prices? Extending the Bush tax cuts!! Let's educate Obama on some basic economics, since he is clearly clueless.

  • @mrmojorisin571 - Whole Foods sucks, lies and is a monopoly with hippie idiots who are racist and accuse shoppers of stealing and then find nothing so they throw the shoppers in jail for trespassing. Now say WTF??!!! Becuase this is the fact and I know!! "Don't give Whole Foods your Money!" buy online or go to your local grocery and request the foods you want to buy. it works!! <--Freedom of speech and expression! Love my rights :-) Oh... if you shop on private property, be careful!

  • @mrmojorisin571 Not to mention they collect rain water , purify it and sell it as water bottles , and care about the treatment of animals that they sell as meat.

  • I hate how our Whole Foods Market is so small. It's fucking expensive but damn do I love it.

  • Whole foods is not overpriced, many items they sell you cannot get any where else. IF YOU HAVE PROBLEM WITH THE COMPANY, STAY YOUR SICK ASS OUT OF THE STORES, AND STOP FLAMING THE VIDEOS. ah hem.

  • Exactly, you can't get most of the items elsewhere b/c theyre flown in from miles away... increasing the carbon footprint of each shopper. Yay for the environment!

  • Yes, the many of the exotic items are shipped in on boat, im sure.... why do you dislike whole foods?

  • No idea genius, I tried to spell it out but you're American I guess and I can't explain why shiiping or flying food long distance is environmentally unfriendly. "what do I have against Whole foods, man"... idiots like you you prick.

  • You make no sense, because either way, people are gonna fly air planes, people are gonna drive their cars, and people are gonna hop on boats, so I wish you would get over it, and stop being rude, because it is unecessary.

  • You began this brilliant conversation by saying I should keep my 'sick ass' out of WF! And you accuse me of being rude? You're right, people will still use up fuel and pollute the environment. But WF caters to the eco-friendly crowd who seem unaware that its counter productive to shop there.

  • Dubran is rightWhole foods is a big scam. Here in pennsylvania they dont buy ANYTHING locally grown even when they have the oppurtunity,it is all from Cali or other countries.I couldnt even find dry beans because everything is canned and now their crappy products have citric and abscorbic acids-when i asked about this-they said it was a natural preservatice?!I used to be liberal then realized liberals just spend high dollar and dont want to research deep enough to realize they are getting ripped

  • There are plenty of fantastic left wing organisations in America. If you're into environmental politics, labour issues, party politics, etc there are always groups to cater to this sort of campaigning... but why can't people do a little bit of research? I'm in Ireland and I have all this information from a nights research. I canr ecommend good books on the sociology of food if anyone is interested.

  • You began by telling me to keep my sick ass out of WF! That was you being rude, right? And secondly, what's the problem with posting up negative comments about WF that people, somewhere sometime, might be interested to know?

  • first of all, i didn't direct anything to you, its your fault you took it personal, but then, you start calling americans stupid and I'm sorry you feel that way, but it is completely unecessary, because if you are talking about shipping the products that isn't a good claim because people ship products all the time, its just not a valid claim against the company.

  • fair enough, I shouldn't have criticised all AMericans... it says more about me than you! But when a company sells exotic produce, it's just that, exotic. And that means it travels further to the store. That means again that it costs more in pollution than products you would find in Wal mart, despite wal mart being awful...

  • Its a nice looking grocery store. Sure it may sell more organics than most others. But I don't see anything political about it. If any body wants to worry about the politics of retail just take a look at Wal-Mart or something.

  • Well, it sounds like you might be interested but WF is actually worse for the organics movement than Wal-Mart! The reason being it pretends to be more caring and eco-firendly, etc, but really it's not true. There are many links to articles, newspaper reports and books I could send you if you want to see the truth.

  • That's truly ridiculous and you clearly know nothing about the natural food industry.

  • Brilliant response, thanks for the information. Seriously, I'm open to hearing some new information and facts. Can you recommend any good articles or books?

  • Julie Guthman is a leading sociologist of food (see her ideas in Agrarian Dreams), read up on the organics move. in America and u'll see WF devouring all that is good there.

  • Workers rights, dubious 'organic' definitions, eco-impact of transport of exotic foods, effect on local communities, misdirection of potential political alternative movements, etc. WF is a huge pretense, with rich kid hippies playing along merrily.

  • 'The dark secrets of Whole Foods' - By Field Maloney - Slate Magazine, Julie Guthman, 'Agrarian Dreams', etc etc. WF is a nightmare for the now almost dead organics movement.

  • way over priced. employees joke about it WHOLE PAYCHECK

  • No wonder I've been hearing allot of hype about Whole Foods. If their product offerings is as great as this store is beautiful and the price is right, a place like Kroger's would not stand a chance against them.

  • IS that you Mackey?

  • hahaha mackey doesn't live in texas, he lives in colorado. i've seen him in the pearl street store in boulder quite a lot.

  • what's the song title? anybody know?

  • Yruguayo1984, why so bitter? Peace, from the US.

  • they bunch of liers and brein washers they came to the uk stole 100% organic store and starded sellin conventional food which local comunity hates and they trying to brain wash staff ....thank god i left and they hot case food is not oragnic they dont care they lie to pepole keep away from them

  • I got interested in these supermarkets even though I'm dirt poor because of all the health problems I've been having. This almost makes me not want to shop there, seems very "middle/upperclass exclusive."

  • why don't you just get a job there? They pay suprisingly well, (you'll be suprised, even the baggers make at least 9 bucks an hour) and u get 20% off everything along with health insurance among other great benefits.

  • C'mon man, even I make $15 an hour... I'd like to have an apartment AND a car... appreciate the thought though.

  • lol, well you shouldn't be that poor, lol, I thought you were really in need. lol xD. i dont know anything about that lol, im 17.

  • What a stupid thing show a supermarket americans are idiots

  • ROFL

  • but you took the time to watch and comment,so who is more idiot??

  • this was meant for Uruguayo1984.....

  • Wholes Foods co-opts all left thought and commoditifies and in the process neuters it. Mackey is a Libertarian and supports the Cato Institute. Whole Foods is non-union too. Also. the food there too isn't always as fresh and as safe as they claim. Unless it's a status thing, I believe their customers should wise up and shop elsewhere.

  • looks great to me,I remember the old one, about 1,5 year ago, only the one in Austin is larger and incredible!Hope to go soon to Dallas again!

  • I notice you have done a couple of these. How interesting. Reciently I had done a project on supermarket promotions and I went in and start taking photographs and almost got kicked out. How did you get away with what you did?

  • Wow....this is the most ridiculously large Whole Foods I've ever seen!

  • Wow! The layout and design are great. The colors really work.

  • Preston & Forest. Big, but not that "big." Maybe 49,000 square feet.

  • which dallas whole foods is this? it's pretty big.
