I went to Autobachs in Hiroshima when visiting my inlaws. It was a car lovers dream. Another shop I loved was Yellow Hat. I bought all kinds of small stuff I could fit in my suitcase for my friends.

Japanese cops don't enforce the law as strictly as different countries but if you do get caught, the consequences are greater. i've had friends take off from cops and have gotten away with it. its a small country with lots of people. you will never see a cop fly down the road like you do in the U.S. it is too hazardous to others to be chasing around people.
