  • Amazingly powerful brass section...really does the main riff justice.

  • I saw them at the Cambridge Corn Exchange, probably around 1970. The best live music I ever saw (including BB King and June 1st 1974).

A few years later, Graham Bond stopped the train I was traveling to work on when he jumped in front of it.

It is amazing how much you can care about such things.

  • What would Austin Powers's do. Both of them!

  • Is it a safe bet that Ginger is a tit man?

  • thanks. love the band!

  • This is a gem of a clip: sadly there seems to be very little of Airforce on film. They were an unwieldy bunch with an ever changing line-up but highly talented and magnificent when on full song. Graham Bond is a standout on alto sax here as is his wife, Diane Stewart, on vocals. I saw them one month after this performance at a festival at Plumpton racecourse, Sussex. By then Baker had added (exchanged?) Denny Laine and Harold McNair to the band. Great stuff! Thanks for posting...

  • Aliki nice to hear you

  • this is cool. the vocal harmonies sound like an alien.

  • I mean,that for a short time,there exist a band"Clapton,Winwood,Baker"?

  • @syrerockdk This band it's Blind Faith :)

  • @syrerockdk eric clapton and the powerhouse

  • @syrerockdk you forgot Rick Grech, the bass player

  • Saw Airforce live in Blackpool, absolutely up there, drum solo gave the girl an orgasm. Anyone else come across this phenomenon ?

  • I really dig this version of Sunshine of your Love ;-)

  • Really can anyone tell me why Cream dystroyed as band in 1969?

  • @TheL2player

Baker and Bruce hated eachother, Clapton wanted to produce music that was a lot different to what Cream played and the jam sessions were so loud that towards the end they all suffered permanent ear damage.

  • @wetlettuce92 yes all true and eric and steve winwood wanted to get together but steve was busy with traffic and eric was busy with cream

  • Ginger looks burned out from drugs

  • This is not Cream. This is Ginger doing his own thing. Unique. Obviously there is no way it can compare to the original. If you were at this show and had a good buzz on, I bet you would have been thrilled. The ladies look fine!

  • Oh ,Graham Bond, where art Thou?

Many happy memories of the Organization @ theBlack Prince ,Bexley in the 60's.

    R.I.P. wherever you are.

  • Mistake .. it don't cut it.

  • Sounded like Sun-Ra at the end, too bad its cut off.

  • im sorry but i REALLY dontt like these guys

the voice the bass... everything oh gawd (N)

  • @flakitugahbaybay Too bad you're a narrowminded trainspotter

  • Freaking awesome. Too bad the Sun Ra like jam was cut off...

MERCI

    MICK.

  • Love her jugs

  • @srot77 which one's??? ; )

  • @srot77 That woman's got to be at least 60 years old by now......but you're right, I do too. Lol!

  • I remeber a couple guys that performed this a HELL of a lot better... Cream rules!!! This made me want to punch myself in the face!!

  • @Ddubya77 This is better.

  • @BeamOut1 Blasphemy!!

  • @Ddubya77 Never liked Cream much. I think the vocals on this are waaaay better, and the feel is nice and loose. Can't stand Jack Bruce on vocals, ruins everything he touches.

  • @BeamOut1 Everyone has their opinion and that's what's great about music is that it touches everybody different... I wouldn't mind touching those boobies :)

  • @BeamOut1 I think Bruce is both a great singer and bassist.

The Cream version is much better.

  • @finylvinyl66 I don't.

  • Love the Air Force!

  • i am in awe

  • mean!

  • There's no credit for the bari sax here. Anyone know the name? Very punchy player.

  • @caerphillykid

Bud Beadle played Soprano and Bari Sax

  • @groovebassist Thanks GB, they had Bud in above-mentioned credits as soprano sax. I should have figured in the absence of an ss that should have read as the opposite end of the scale, down with the beloved bari. But I'm not prejudiced, that's some great Graham Bond blowing too, on alto.

  • Wow. I barely recall this show.I dropped so much acid the day prior that I was pretty much immobilized. I used to get completely stoned to Ginger's albums throughout the 70's.

  • Quality band, very underated. Love their 2nd album.

  • Graham Bond was one of the most under-rated musicians of the 70's - but then Ginger Baker was almost the only person who could ever keep Graham focused.

Once Graham escaped from the Airforce he went completely mad - and killed himself.

  • I wasn't aware Graham Bond played the (Alto) Sax!

    Awesome Awesome Stuff!!!

  • Young Frankiee

  • Karioke more like!

    Great all the same

  • Comment removed

  • your right, it has that feel

  • Wow! Very cool to hear a version that's a cross between heavy blues-rock and big band! The only original take on this tune I can ever remember hearing.
