  • interesting video and very informative

  • This is a great video

  • very interesting video thanks

  • lovely video

  • that's fantastic

  • Great video

  • Tops. Good Vishual Video, Thanks for shared

  • great video here :)

  • Cool, Very Infomative.!!

  • Good!!

  • i agree , "lots of stars"

  • ★★★★★ simple

  • awesome

  • Unfortunately the "Hubble time" is very expensive, otherwise maybe they have found another galaxy earlier.

  • guys, every religion is fucking bullshit. the evidence is right in front of you. those little galaxies are a billion times bigger than the biggest thing you can imagine...yet you still claim jesus christ yada yada...GOOD JORB GUYS

  • the hydrogen atom always at work in our lives. Relativistic Perturbation Mantle

  • @fulely

  • stupid nasa cant they just use the hubble to see things in mars

  • @edgajam "Hubble time" is very hard to get, and very expensive.

  • @edgajam LOL you're calling nasa stupid when clearly you're the stupid one.

  • @JackyRBKwan Troll physics.

  • Thumbs up if YOU agree.

I don't even care with so many galaxies there not only must be billions of alien planets but galactic empires and galactic wars going on right now!

We are just so small so far away we have not even a clue.

  • This is one of the reasons I love fysics and astronomy; no fancy pancy stuff..

"We have here a very large telescope, what should we call it?"

Let's call it "Very Large Telescope!"

"Okey, fine, and this one? It's extremely large.

Well, we just call it Extremely Large Telescope"

We have here a force, that acts within the nucleus and it's strong, shall we call it the "strong nuclear force"?

  • @Danthaman1971 if you love physics so much why dont you know how to spell it?

  • @TheKiller945

    Thank you, that was nice..

  • Science is leaving religion in its dust...you all must have noticed the extra desperation of the credulous in the last few years as this has developed. They seem to be imploding before our eyes, ironically, like a distant super nova...

  • @Oliverius2 You obviously have not heard yet. The jews made it all up out of other myths and legends. Of course they have you right where they like you, stupid to reality.

For instance. Your god made Adam, took a break calling it all good. Yet it could not foresee the failure and further changes it was to make? Why not start out that way. In other words your good books are describing a flawed or failed god that required the rabbi to fix its errors.

Keep your crap out of science vids

  • @Oliverius2 "Who is the most retarded person on earth, the person that trolls about unrelated subjects in science video" - our coke god.

  • @Oliverius2 Please, for the love of reason take your god somewhere else. Astronomers and Physicist have been doing well enough without claiming god did it.How much I respect difference of opinion faith is not a factor in science.

  • @fermos11111 all im sayin is weve plenty options in life yet weve 1thing certain..thats death.why cant we prepare 4something that is certain, rather than something thats not certain?

  • @fermos11111 there lots impossibility alone in this "known" universe,1/0 is impossible?tan 90?a complete definision of pi (3.14159...)?where exactly is the location of black hole event horizon?how come the universe exist in 11 dimension?so many impossibility &people say god is impossible

an e.choli bacteria is 1000x complicated than a mere boeing 747 &people saying it come by accident??this doesnt make sense

why is the universe so elegant, where it shouldve been chaotic?

  • @satyaxyzabcde Except that in both the case of E.Coli and a 747, we can show evidence of transitional forms. I can show an evolutionary trail for aircraft in exactly the same way that biologists can for living things. Does that mean living things had a designer? No. Does it mean 747s reproduce sexually? No.

  • Hi There

God video about the paths of Universe.

Do you know that's written 14 centuries ago about it. see Kuran chap 51 verse 7 (bY THE HEAVEN FULL OF PATHS). I encourage you to go on.

Science discover the power of the AlmightyGODALLAHDIEU

    MDJ

  • @NHLArks hi! maybe you should look for a religion that do not have contradictory in their teaching and don't contradict science (coz many religion have proven to be giving false information about our surrounding nature (read: universe))... cheers..

  • @imPindyfuckyou no need for such negativity, still my logic applies, you can continue your negative way of life and better hope that god not exist when you die.

  • So manny religious comments -.-

Funny to think about, its not onely you that choose what to believe in. But its where you live. There are a ton or religions, and some major.

People are geting indoctrinated by their parents.

  • just believe in god and do good deeds, use simple logic: if you right and i'm wrong then we got nothing to loose when we die, but if i'm right and you're wrong, then you're certainly in BIG TROUBLE

  • @satyaxyzabcde who made my poop shoot?? what the fuck was that green thing on my m8's tongue that month?? why did i put my man pidgey into the smelly fat girls hairy pudgy that night?? an why did i do it again the week after that?? then the week after that???... do you want 2 know why i didnt go back after the week after that?? a BIG BLACK DILDO and KY was waiting 4 me my friend!! the lord sure does work in mysterious fucking ways, an whats more disturbing is!! would he have watched me?? DICK 8D

  • @satyaxyzabcde I am not sure what religion you are .....but..I am sure it is one of the 10,000 religions scurging the earth today. What if you are wrong and one of the others is right? big trouble

  • @satyaxyzabcde

pascal's wager.. failed logic. just believe in god? which one? you will say the Christian god. then which denominations? your wager is no longer 50/50 now is it? its more like 1 in a million. I am fairly sure you are just a troll.

  • interesting....

  • why are people talking about religious philosophies on a scientific documentation? I have the highest respect for people's beliefs but this would be similar to going onto a football bloopers video and talking about how Andy Roddick is a better tennis player then Roger Federer

  • Allah is the creator.

scientists can see at 15 billions light years ,

come back to creator,..Allah made 7 unnivers

  • @sharingan67

    Allah huekber

  • @sharingan67 "Allah made 7 universes"

And I've got them all in an old matchbox in my kitchen drawer. Right next to the compass.

  • @sharingan67 O yea but wait, Allah was not only the creator, but since it was so hard for him he had to use his mangekyou sharingan right? And thats wen the Universe was created.

  • @narutocursemark

Ye Ye we heard this naruto cat/dog story before and we don't buy that here.

  • @sharingan67 who created allah?

  • @fermos11111

Allah is without beginning or end. This is how He always was and always is, and always will be, so to speak.

  • @maah190 Why can I see how illogical your comment is yet you cannot? If you can say for arguments sake that allah has always existed then I can say the universe has always existed. You see, everyone is indoctrinated into their particular religion by their parents. everyone believes they are right yet you and I know everone cant be right. There probably is no god or gods...just does not make sense. I hate to see anyone waste their life on nonsense that cant be proven. peace

  • oh and allah is a terrorist and muhammad is a boy raper

  • God Bless you!

Merci for the good job. Another kind of scientist explanation and confirmation of the written Truth on Holy book. For instance, it's written : AND THE HEAVEN WE BUILT IT BY OUR POWER AND WE EXPAND IT(KURAN chap 51 verse 47). I Encourage you de trouver les E.T. 'cos it's written too:ALLAH WHO CREATED 7 HEAVENS AND THE EARTH IN THE SAME NUMBERLIKE...chap 65 verse 12 in Kuran

May ALLAH=GOD may give a little help. Amen

  • No One knows what the universe looked like or how it began yet.I just dont understand why he's saying what it looked like.We still dont know why the universe is expanding still!?

  • @TheBigmfg yes we know how not why its because of darkmatter exspanding.

  • @SuperiorDeity Great response. Couldn't have said that any better.

  • spectroscopy on z=8.6!!

You have to be an astronomer to know how sick that is. wow.....

  • @Namolis yeah man totally, schooled the old record by like 200 million years or something roughly.

  • as soon as someone proves that i exist, then ill start believing in the rest of the universe

  • @DeathBringer9000 Interesting theory but a waste of time.

  • I really hope the name of that telescope isn't actually "European Extremely Large Telescope"

  • @TheNeoSanity lol....you know it's going to be though. I can just imagine them all sitting around in the conference room, "Ok, guys, what are we going to call this one?" "Well, it's an extremely large telescope...so I think we should call it the extremely large telescope." "Hasn't that already been done?" "Yeah, but I mean this is an extremely large telescope....I think bigger than the last one." "Well, ok. Everyone ok with extremely large telescope?" Everyone looks around nodding.

  • 1:26-1:30 my mind just got inceptioned

  • 1:26-1:30-- my mind just got inceptioned

  • The most incredible of this all is that this is the only planet with life,we are all very unique and special in the universe.

  • @BABS7474 who says we are the only planet with life? maybe in out solar system but definetly not in the universe.. just think about how many planets are out there.

  • @BABS7474 *the only planet with life we know of. It's so improbable that the Earth is the only life-bearing celestial in the universe, that you may as well say There ARE other life-bearing planets, orbiting one of the about 3-100^10x22 stars :P

  • they say quasars are really early galaxies so is this before even a quasar or something like that?

  • ..and there really are creatures somewhere there who kind of watch over us? uknow sorta like our zoo keepers care for animal lol? idk if this is bs but thats just an idea, and no matter what anybody says i still will believe in aliens anyways, just that too bad we cant zoom in closer all those planets and all with those strong telescopes, to check em out..well blah =D

  • hey guys, i know its annoying that some ppl are rambling about religion shiz on this scientifical video, but ill just tell what i think k? im maybe dumb and know nothing about science stuff but im pretty openminded (trying not too much to not let brain fall out ofc tho) about all and im thinking what if there really are some kind of rules and government going on in universe (like between more advanced civilizations)..

  • I've been weirdly entranced with this discovery for a few days now.

  • Theoretical physics is my religion! Science is my Prophet!

  • Thumbs up. Awesome video. Thank you.

  • Amazing, that's probably one of the first galaxies to ever exist in the universe. It's a crying shame that some people just can't grasp how amazing this discovery is, and how others cling to their bronze age religious idiocy.

  • wtf... i am so sick of ppl watching science and think of sins and gods and whatever... IT IS SCIENCE not RELIGION so go AWAY...

  • Fools! Other worlds are inhabited by creatures who did NOT sin like us.

We are the only world in the universe that is quarantined and is being watched as the great controversy between Good and Evil is in process. And when the war is over, God will come, take away his children, and destroy sin forever and ever.

Then there will be no more death, nor crying, nor sickness, nor sadness. Amen.

  • @aizen7777777777 I hope you're just breing satirical 'cause that was pure idiot bullshit.

  • @aizen7777777777 You're either a poe, or some indoctrinated Mormon retard. Pathetic if you're the latter.

  • @aizen7777777777 It is embarrassing that there are people like you, pissing in humanities gene pool. Please don't ever breed...

  • @Drweavil

Unlike you, I'm not a monkey, therefore I don't breed.

Unlike you, I'm a spiritual creature.

    I pity you.

  • @aizen7777777777 LoL... awww look at the poor little delusional creationist, he's all upset LoL. Ahh I needed a laugh thanks for that, but seriously, you're too stupid to breed, not a good idea... keep it in your pants chuckie

  • @aizen7777777777 Please take your preaching elsewhere, you're wasting your time here. And please don't reply to this message. The universe needs more science, and less religious hatred.

  • @aftenfilosof

One day you'll regret saying that.

You people dig your own graves.

    So sad.

  • @aizen7777777777 what you call grave we call knowledge, so yeah, it would seem bad to you. So while you pray for us, we will think for you.

  • @aizen7777777777 Astrophysics is my religion, science makes us pretty sad...then again u wouldnt even be able to leave your ignorant post if not for science....one day you'll regret wasting your life reading the same book over and over, never questioning a word of it.....i guess thats why your called sheep, keep following, the rest of us will make our own path

  • @aizen7777777777 I see spirituality is no improvement on the human condition. Please, pity us some more. Condescend. It only adds to your credibility. I'm more inclined to believe that you are closer to the source of all creation and morality as you continue to show how superior your character is to ours.

  • @aizen7777777777 Damn, creatard comments are so funny to read when drunk.

  • @aizen7777777777 "And when the war is over, God will come, take away his children, and destroy sin forever and ever."

Muhaaahahahahahahahaha LOLOLOLOLOL ROTFLMAO you are too cute for words

  • @aizen7777777777 whats with the negative here just be glad with these discoveries that we are making here

  • Like most I do not know what is beyond Earth and I fear we as humans will never know If other worlds can support human life.I do like to watch videos that study new ideas and Outer Space videos .Thanks Best Of Science.

  • Somewhere in this vid it says that light from the distant galaxy has red-shifted into the IR spectrum. It then says that the early Hydrogen cloud would have absorbed much of the IR light of the time.

My question is this: at what point during its journey did the light become IR light? Presumably, by virtue of being shifted, it wasn't originally IR light, meaning that we wouldn't have to worry about it being absorbed by early H-clouds!?

  • @cartbeforehorse Ah, not quite--it actually says the hydrogen cloud would have absorbed ultraviolet radiation, not infrared radiation (1:40-46). So it started as high-energy light, in the UV, then redshifted to IR as it traveled.

  • @Hooya2 That'll learn me to listen proper wownit!

  • 3 people hate science.

  • @BusinessIDBAI more likely are idiots.

  • It still always amaze me to think that whenever I look up at the sky, I'm seeing across a wide time range, as oppose to our everyday experience where everything we see is whats happening right now, how something looks like at this very exact moment.

  • call me when you find jesus's house

  • @clearevil I tried calling jesus actually, he wasnt picking up. Praying is the accepted form of communication with him isnt it? Maybe he isnt home at the moment, out killing gays presumably.

  • @Nmal015 , Dont be silly, Jesus dont kill gays, he just looks on disapprovingly with an air of smugness, he knows there gonna burn in hell :)

  • so what ? there is nothing worthful except picture. becuz you will never say the truth and true knowledges for other people. you are hiding truth. it is not funny and worthful. in 10 years, the everything will be leaked.

  • @Nmal015 AHAHAHAHA ilove it.

  • No science, no technology = we live in a cave, no electricity, no PC, no youtube, no machines, not enough food for all of us, more sickness and so on. Vatican should talk more about how they touch children, less about science and politics.

  • @lokoxxxxx what are you talking about?

  • For all the billions of dollars spent on research from many different countries over the last 150 years and all the millions of collective hours of research, still no evidence of little green men or any form of life anywhere. I guess you can keep on hoping.

  • @amanwithdreams We have no hope, but you sure have a denial capacity way beyond me.

I know that a magnet will do a certain task, in the same way this Universe is made up of the same things this planet has. The shear numbers of and the FACT that life does exist in this Universe*, even if you can not see it, means there is other life out there somewhere. Logical reasoning brings great and even simple minds to this conclusion very quickly.

    *Look into mirror, or outside.

  • @ISamuelII Thanks for your reply. You haven't really proven anything. Just spoken lots of mumbo jumbo. Conjecture on assunptions are not proof.

  • @amanwithdreams And what do you think a theory is partner. Faith in a theory is not healthy.

  • @ISamuelII A Scientific Theory is a model that tries to explain a natural phenomenon by naturalistic means, based on testable observations and empirical evidence, and has to be able to make accurate prediction about the phenomenon it describes. There. That's a theory.

  • @Helge129 hypothesis

  • @SlackerSlayer No, that's the definition of a (Scientific) Theory - A Hypothesis is almost the same, but without the testable evidence.

  • @amanwithdreams He has proven far more than your nonsense can accomplish.

  • @SlackerSlayer If you believe that, good for you. It still doens't prove that life exists outside of this planet.

  • @amanwithdreams Do you realize how far away other solar systems are? It's not like we can drive there and back in a day to check to see if there are extraterrestrials on other planets... The nearest star to the sun is 253,000 AU away and our farthest satellite, Voyager 1, has only travelled about 115 AU in the 34 years it's been in space... So when you can develop something that can actually help us find them, then have an opinion as to why we haven't.

  • @amanwithdreams Oh, and that system is a binary system, meaning the chance of a stable earthlike orbit around the stars is non-existant. And the next nearest star is Barnard's Star, it is a red dwarf, and is about 380,000 AU away from us. So until we find a more viable means of traversing from solar system to solar system, it's highly unlikely we're going to send a satellite there in our lifetime.

  • Christians dont believe there is life anywhere else other than on earth. That's how stupid they are.

  • @enka22 The vatican hosted a conference on extraterrestrial life in November, 2009.

  • @enka22 Yes they are that stupid because you have evidence of life somewhere else right? If you watch enough movies you will believe everything eventually.

  • @enka22 Not all of us... I really hope god is real so he can kick your fuckin ass, atheist scum.

  • @YummyTacoz909 now that's now very christian of you, is it?

  • @YummyTacoz909 For some reason i feel pretty safe! As mythological figures go im more frightened of zeus tbh, those lightning bolts look scary. The modern interpretation of the christian god is a shadow of its former self, hopelessly trying to fit into the remaining holes in modern scientific understanding. Not bad ass at all, pathetic frankly.

  • @Nmal015 "As mythological figures go im more frightened of zeus tbh, those lightning bolts look scary."

It's okay. Thanks to Ben Franklin we have flashing around the houses roof.

  • @YummyTacoz909 "Not all of us... I really hope god is real so he can kick your fuckin ass, atheist scum."

You just damnd yourself, again. Just saying if you want to go by that book.

  • @enka22 Yes you must be right, as there are no Surgeons, Doctors, Lawyers, Physicists, Psychiatrists, Professors, Lecturers, Scientists etc who are not Christians. Could you imagine! The whole world is ONLY made up of intellectuals who are not Chrtistian. Thank God for that ;)

  • I will actually pay if BestOfScience makes longer videos

  • @makmegs

And don't have 20% of the video wasted on credits and plus huh!. I would not complain at all as i love the work, but when you are downloading and trying to watch at 1080p, you have to wait ages for it to load the last bit them BAM, 5 seconds of content and the rest is junk :)

  • @makmegs

And don't have 20% of the video wasted on credits and plugs huh!. I would not complain at all as i love their work, but when you are downloading and trying to watch at 1080p, you have to wait ages for it to load the last bit them BAM, 5 seconds of content and the rest is junk :)

  • @makmegs Me too!

  • I think pools of dark energy might effect the colors of the spectrum. Dark energy feeds the light in some places and eats it in others.

  • bestofscience pisses me off with vids like this

their vids are way to good to be so short ;)

    more,.... MORE

    (just messin)

  • What I want to know is...does it have a shifted alpha constant? :-)

  • @TheRationalizer What a great question. It wasn't addressed in the literature, but the implications would be profound, especially if it was repeated with other/more data from this epoch.

  • Simply mind blowing stuff.

  • 800 million, a video light years spectral synthetizer d, after analyzing the colors of a strong presence of gazs cold, so any trace of hydrogen or other life & removed

  • We're specks on a speck, orbiting a bigger speck that's within a system of interacting specks, meshed in with billions of other speck systems to form a bigger speck that's one speck of a trillion or more, that may very-well comprise an even bigger speck. Fun stuff! :)

  • lol

  • Confused biologist requires help with this one. By the time the light reaches us it is infra red due to being stretched by the expanding universe.

If the distance between stars is increasing due to expansion, then how the hell can that stretch an electromagnetic wave?

I am aware of the Doppler shift but this cant be the same thing, can it?

  • @FLUSEM666 Hi. It's the same principle as DS, but we call it a red shift (or blue shift if an object is coming toward us). The time to receive the light is lengthened over the time it took to emit the photon. Because light travels at a finite speed, as the universe expands the distance it must travel is lengthened-- as it is traveling. These two factors give the effect of a 'stretched wave', a real effect evident in the reduced energy of 'red light'. Hope that helps.

  • sweeeeeeet

  • Great news ★★★★★

    Katalyzt

  • So that galaxy is 600,000,000 years old after the Big Bang and the light took 13 billion years to reach Earth, so exactly which way is the Universe expanding? If the light is traveling on a plane of expansion shouldn't the Red Shift remind constant or even become a blue shift since the expansion is increasing?

  • @Riotboy1 It is expanding away from every point everywhere. Imagine an elastic cord with balls attached at specific points. Now stretch that cord. No matter which ball you are, every other ball is moving away from you, and the other balls see exactly the same thing you do from their POV. But the ball 2 away from you is moving twice as fast as the one adjacent to you. So the speed at which galaxies move away from us increases with distance, and so does their red shift.

  • isnt it funny how some people on earth will laugh at your suggestion that theres other intelligent life in the universe, yet they'l believe with a passion that there's an invisible man watching over us, without any proof whatsoever. teh only reason they believe it, is cos they WANT it to be true and like the idea, cos lets face it...who wants to just die then thats it over forever?...the immortal soul is what most people WANT to be true, i know thats what i want to be true lol

  • @MrSweatyZombie i think its a laugh to think that theres not life anywhere else in the universe. even if its very rare it would have to be the single most rare thing in the universe to only occur on one planet.

  • @HalfGermanAllHammer yeah i'v got no doubts about other life existing elsewhere, but the question is, what are they like? would they be like us? considering that the structure of life is universal, there is BOUND to be another planet that has the same species as us on it, but they obviously would speak different langauges (unless by some miracle of odds they came up with the same english langauge, lol that would be weird)

  • @MrSweatyZombie At least you admit that you want to believe that... Most people just make excuses as to why their belief or disbelief is the supreme and ultimate truth.

  • @MrSweatyZombie

yes the soul is YOU and IT CAN BE TRANSPOSED! So like Jesus teach and all exaggerated " You can live in the RECORDS after you die of flesh". So all YOU and I know is what is left behind by others to learn or NOT and NOT KNOW!

So all them people you never heard of you don't know and all of them you heard of you know to some degree or another. You're immortal soul can last as long as records exist and the quality range from NAME to FULL LIFE RECORDINGS to be brick in Heaven.

  • @MrSweatyZombie Fuck that. I dont want to live forever. That would be hell. I find it beautiful that one day i get to fade back into the earth like i was never here.

  • @LBTennis Ahhh, but maybe we do live forever, but when we die....our soul goes into another life(we live a whole new life over again) but we cant remember the previous lives, maybe thats what deja vu is... interesting to think about though :)

  • @MrSweatyZombie Yes, interesting to think about but thats it. Its nothing but pure science fiction. We dont no exactly what deja vu is but one theory is that its simply one process a fraction of a second faster than the other. I prefer to think realistically about these things.

  • Gravity does not only effect the path that light takes but also its wavelength. The latter effect is called gravitational redshift (or blueshift depending on the conditions).

  • @p3n2 actually the path of light IS affected, if its sucked into a black hole :P
