nice laptop i'm getting one in 2 weeks. How do you like the keybored, do the keys ever stick? another question how thick is the back of the notebook by the leather? is it 1.3 inches
very nice i'm getting one in 2 weeks. How do you like your keyboard, do the keys stick? another question how thick is the back of the laptop with the lid close by the leather..is it 1.3 inches?
I just ordered one, however i've ordered one with the i7 model, I really wanted RGBLED but it wasn't a selectable option -- does that require more power or something, why is it an omitted option?
For some reason, the BIOS on this laptop throttles it under load, using trick after trick to stop it taking more than 90w from the arguably inadequate power supply that comes with this machine.
At worst, it can throttle clear down to only 12.5% of its potential. There is a huge issue and dell has agreed to fix it that has been 4 months this system is preforming far less then a i5 processor if you want more info just google Dell throttle issue and it will bring up a150 page of users with the prob
by the way did u rcv any sound driver cd?..in the US, Dell has got the option of a creative spkr..also did u order for a dell remote? i have got a cheaply made one Hey that was a nice video review that u made..cheers!
Hey Anupam..I'm from Liverpool and even i have the same comp..got this 2 weeks ago..everythin seems to work well so far..The cons would be the overheating issues.-the harddrive is right beneath the touch pad..The single fan even though its kinda silent does not work well.jst the rsn wat u said on ur video. -the vent gets blocked,so is the typing accuracy. I have to check it everytime but then it works fine on a notepad..fingerprint magnetic is somewat okay.

you british and shoving shit up asses...got what faggots u are! no wonder you surrendered to the germans and we had to save yo sorry, shoved up with shit asses.
They're certainly not offering it yet (in UK or USA), although I have seen this on a forum thread somewhere as well; the consensus on that thread was that the image of the tech specs with i7 on it had been manipulated. If it's true, Dell are certainly keeping it quiet, they're usually good about announcing this stuff.
The performance has been very good so far. Its not bad on the heat. Of the three internal sensors two report under 50 and one in the mid 70s after heavy gaming/processing. Externally, it doesn't feel uncomfortable at all when on a table and your palms are resting on it. However I've mostly been using Ubuntu Linux on it so far. My complete review should be up in the next week or so and I'll go into more detail there.

I wonder when the UK is going to adapt to modern enter keys...That massive thing reminds me of something from the 90's.

Nice Video, thanks for uploading.
Did you remove the stickers in the end? if so was it possible to do without leaving marks?
I was also wondering if the tv tuner worked without using the external aerial supplied? (i.e. is there an aerial embedded in the laptop itself?)
Did you end up getting Dell to replace it due the case bulging?
Cheers,
Tom

I heard a few days ago that dell is going to offer core i7 on the dell studio xps 16. do you know if that's true?
