there are plenty of examples where the police were extremely wrong in their practices. Gates is being persecuted for having an attitude basically. He didn't curse out the cop, didn't get physical or anything, but b/c he demanded his const. rights, the cop refused to respond, but instead arrested him for disorderly conduct. race, class and bad timing played into this incident, but the cop abused his authority to arrest a 58 yr old man walking with a cane. yeah he was such a threat.
