  • 5d mark 3 arrived with 22mp

    still no flash....

  • You should really delete these vids. It completely undermines any credibility you claim to possess.

  • They wont make the 70D for one reason: Its awkward to say out loud.

  • Comment removed

  • When is the mark 3 rumored to be announced

  • This kind of speculation is mostly the blunts speaking, imho.

  • Any more news yet? Or you just making this up!

  • YES!!!! thats great 24mp,..but what about fps, any dead pixel quality?, will it have a movable screen?, will it take vid and at what quality?, will it be weather proof like the 7D?.....talk about the stuff that the people wanna know, stop saying the same shit over and over,.....anyone agree?

  • @pandadude818 why are people wanting a 70d when a 7d mark2 would be a better camera...are there any features on a 60d/70d that wouldn't be on a 7d/7d mark2?

I want the best camera, period...so i'm waiting on the 5d mark 2

  • it's 2012... where's the announcement?

  • The 7D was designed to be a 5D for crop frame lovers. They would not make it full frame because it was never destined to be a full frame

  • @TheMylittleeye You are full of shit.

  • In my opinion: a mark II of the 7D would NOT be full frame. The point of the 7D was to be what is a 5D Mark II to a 1Ds Mark III but for a 1D mark IV. The reason it won't have a full frame sensor is because the point of having that crop on this specific camera is to get closer to the action. It's a sports based camera with it's 8 FPS. That's my reason for knowing that it won't be a full frame. if you want full frame spend the extra for a 5D Mark II. You can't have EVERYTHING.

  • and so the 1Dx is here and no new 7D.but still hoping for the 7d mark 2 tho

  • Hmmmm - I make my income using APS format. Since I don't use full frame I guess that means I make $150 an hr off my "hobby" - Life is GOOD!

  • 24MP on a crop sensor is total fail. It's overkill and it only hurts high iso performance adding extra megapixels. Go get a Hasselblad if you need huge blowups and crazy megapixels.

  • Full Frame? You lost your cred with me almost instantly!

  • @mylittleeye. I hope I can settle this real quick. The definition of the word professional is someone who applies a skill as their profession. In other words if you take pictures and get paid for it and you don't have a different job to supplement income, that makes you by definition a professional photographer. Your choice of camera has no part in this definition. Besides not everyone needs full frame or medium format.

  • It's already Nov 17th '11 here.. Nada thing happenin!

  • there will not be a 5d m3 7 d will not be full frame as they have those in their line up already

  • Where do you get your information man? Pure rubbish!

  • @TheMylittleeye - Wow! That's a BIG misconception you have there. Pro's use whatever works for the job at hand. A lot of wedding pros that shoot Canon currently shoot the Canon 5D MkII or the Canon 7D. Same with Nikon shooting wedding pros... Nikon D7000, Nikon D300s, Nikon D700. And a LOT of studios like the Canon 5D MkII. It has better image quality by a tad than the 3X more expensive 1Ds Mk3, and why would a studio need a rugged, weather sealed body?

  • @ArtoftheImage Why is everything about wedding photography?

  • @ArtoftheImage my question is how do some of these, not all of these DSLR vids on youtube get great action video movies and vids if the video mode does not even have AF!?? That's insane to me how u don't get AF in video mode! Just goes to show these DSLR's have a lot to improve for video compared to camcorders.

Also what do u use to sell your cameras..u make it sound so easy to get rid of camera on the used market....Ebay?

  • @TheMylittleeye You are so mistaken if you believe that :)

  • nn ho capito nulla... ma i sotto titoli?

  • It'll be 2 seperate cameras both geared at different photographic interests levels, both cannot be 24mp no doubt but close..Canon 7D markII and Canon 70D..about $400-$500 will seperate them both..but Canon is crafty and can knock off the 7D and relabel it a full frame 8D

  • @TheRisingArms Agreed. Putting a full-frame sensor in the 7D/60D successor will stunt the growth of the EF-S lens lineup. Unless Canon introduces a mirrorless APSC camera which uses EF-S lenses, it is highly unlikely that it will do something to kill its EF-S line so soon.

  • @ArtoftheImage thannx. now its clear. i got the impression that you upgrade every year. an associate of mine is making the transition from film to dslr. i suggested that she commence with the d90. (she has about 20 years experience). looks like the d7000 will become even more of a bargain soon.

  • @artoftheimage i know youre a professional phographer, but do you really feel the need to change your cameras every year? it just seems people in your profession are merely leasing cameras instead of owning them. are there any cameras that you have kept in your collection for 2 years or more?

  • @panavision09 - I shot with Nikon D300 bodies for over 3 years. Basically, when I feel the cost of upgrading is justified by the improvements in a camera, I'll up-grade.

  • @ArtoftheImage what is the best camera(DSLR) or camcorder for VIDEO for under 2,000 or so!???

  • its september already.. where is the anouncement?

  • @urban02 We're still hoping it'll be soon, but new rumors are saying Canon might not announce any new DSLR's until 2012!

  • I highly doubt that Canon is going to make the 7D MkII a full frame sensor. The 7D was an EF-S camera and Canon is not going to make current owners have to change from EF-S lenses to EF lenses. If it was another 1.6x camera, then the current 7D owners would have more of an incentive to upgrade.

  • i need opinions fro you guys plz? (i never had a dslr before) should i buy the t3i or the 60d but canons is goin to realesed new cameras what should i do buy the t3i then sell it & buy the upcoming new cameras? PLEASE.

  • @nonegraff1 I have a 60d and have used the t3i as well. the 60d is much better and faster for stills(more pro features than T3i. In video mode the t3i has in camera digital zoom. That's pretty nice but not enough me me to want to go with the entry level T3i. the price difference is usually about $200 depending where you buy it. Also the t3i is very light when compare to the 60d. bad. if you still need more info checkout @DigitalRevCom They have a video with head to head comparisons with them.

  • I'm hoping that the 7D-II/70D will be a full-frame camera, because then it'll hopefully drive Nikon to release a full-frame D400 somewhere down the line to compete. The theoretical price of the D800 seems to be a bit north of my budget limits right now, but hopefully that's where the D400 will come in.

  • If they do another fullframe, what do people who want a highend crop body have to choose from?

  • thumbs up for a 60d sweepstakes lol

  • another one here crossing fingers!

  • Finally!!!! thanks alot

  • mine's too Matt, i'm crossing my fingers..haha

  • There will be a 7D mark II and theres no merging the 70D line. this means there will be a full frame 24mp of 26mp 7D mark II and a 20 or 22mp 70D. the X0D has been really important for Canon.

  • (Continued) I also suspect that Canon (Or any DSLR maker for that matter) would not bring down the cost of FF cameras to that of crops sensor cameras.

The x0D range has been a big seller for Canon, so I cannot see - at the moment - them fudging that up.

But as I said in my other comment, there have been rumours of a big shake up in the Canon line, so who knows? There is a saying that if it's not broke, don't try and fix it, but sometimes you have to shake the tree a little to stay/get ahead.

  • I don't know where you get your rumours from, but most of what you said has not been posted to the Canon Rumours web site.

I know it has been rumoured that Canon will have a shake up in its line, but I do think that you are reaching a little bit. I very much doubt that Canon will change a crop sensor camera (the 7D) to a full frame format -I am sure that will cause confusion. I would suspect a new "cheaper" FF camera, like the much rumoured 3D.

  • I always wonder why this Show is called Art of the image. This is another tech show...

Am I the only one who is confused by that name?

  • The canon video quality is SIGNIFICANTLY better than the Nikon! Why change ?

  • I am so glad that i am subscribed to you!

  • WAIT WAIT WAIT, WHAT DO YOU MEAN DUMP YOUR 60D?!?!?! IS IT GOOD CONDITION? COS I WILL BUY.

  • hm....ive been saving for the 60d for months and now im kinda confused as what to do? :( i hope its not over 1000 :(

  • Maybe they'll merge 60D and 7D but they'll never give it a full frame format. That would be quite stupid because than they have no professional APS-C Cam.

I'm waiting for the 70D myswelf and >I< simply don't WANT a FF Camera.

  • @DaveRemmel Interesting!!! I dont think this guy is right though, because if canon do FF lots of 7D users wont make the upgrade because of rendering there lenses USELESS! I'm guessing thats why you want a cropped sensor?

  • @idro2k Yes...I still have a 350D but I'm planning a 60D or probably the successor. But I bought my lenses for a crop format. I like the additional focal length, so I don't want to have a FF Camera. And every one who prefers sport- or animal photography will have the same problem, that there is no professional alternative to the 600D.

  • @DaveRemmel Well there is the 7D is the closest thing you can get with a cropped sensor.and I am sure it is used by some professionals. It is a better camera than the 5Dmk2 in a lot of ways and is definitely better than the 60D. The 60D is only a year old so I doubt it will be replaced any time soon. My question is, do you need a professional quality camera? Will you use the extra features that make it worth buying a pro camera over a presumer DSLR like the 600D or 60D?

  • @MichaelLaing71 A lot of professionals do use the X0D range (I have a 40D), but it's not all about features - there is the issue of the camera being able to put up with the wear and tear a professional can put a camera through. A 7D or higher should (at least in theory) "last" better than lower models. I also find the x00D range too small for my hands, and the larger cameras higher up in the range more comfortable.

  • @mrman17 I was going to mention about wear and tear originally but ran out of space. I know a lot of people who use the 60D and I generally think that a 60D is more than enough camera for most Canon shooters, the same as the D7000 is for most Nikon shooters. I prefer bigger cameras myself (though I hate the weight) and do put my camera through a bit of a bashing, but how many photographers use their cameras to there fullest? I am quite experimental but I still don't think I probably do.

  • @DaveRemmel either go full frame or go nikon

  • @stavyros:

Why? I'll simply wait for the 70D... I'm certain(!!) that it won't be FF format

  • I doubt that Canon would merge those two line ups and make the 7d successor a full frame when they can just release another variant of the 5D...more so Canon needs to hold up and stop releasing new camera bodies every two months...it's going to make consumers not want to buy because of new model speculation

  • This is retarded. Everything about this is based on pure speculation.

  • Erm, ArtOfTheImage, i love your videos, you are good, everything, but your titles are very long... Look up there ^

So could you Shorten the titles and maybe put everything into the description? That would be nice. Thanks.

  • 7d MKII would be awesome .70d YUK :(

  • sorry to say this, but lately your videos r getting absurd. Maybe u should have another separate channel call Art of BS rumors.com

  • @leeaman88 I agree, I'm calling BS on this too. 7D mk2 will not be full frame. I'm calling BS on the 1D mk5 too. canon use APS-h for a reason.

  • ISO range? I would like to call BS on that because what would be the prosumer line for Canon?

  • great vid, do you know when the nikkor 40mm micro 2.8 will come out?

  • you have no highlights in your video !

  • Also the D7 was one of the best cameras made in the late 00s and I would say pretty much in every way better than the 5Dmk2 apart from sensor size. Canon would be risking a lot creating a 7Dmk2 with a full size sensor and then not having top end specs and I wonder if Canon can come in with a cheap full frame sensor. Canon could release a 70D and then when the 60D needs replacing have the 70D move into the 60D price range and then bring out the 80D but I think that would annoy a lot of people.

  • I had read some where about Canon releasing the 7Dmk2 in August with a 24mp sensor. I don't believe for one second though that it will be a full frame sensor. With Sony releasing the A77 which will trump the 7D in pretty much every way and Nikon releasing the 400 in a few months that would leave Canon with either a big APS-C size hole in there line up and I don't think Canon would risk that.

  • LOL this is hilarious. A 24MP FF camera that costs the same as 60D/ 7D... yea right

  • this is defs bullshit 1 of the worst rumors heard canon will still make good aps-c cameras

  • Where are these rumours coming from?

  • Do you have any (reliable) sources where you get this from or is this just your intuition? Because it all sounds very far fetched. Why would they make the 7D Mark II a full frame, if the first one was a crop?

I won't be surprised at all if you're wrong in just about everything you said in this video.

  • @marcohordijk its bs from rumor sites dw bout it

  • wow . i hope this isnt bull shit

  • A canon video!
