I've put a strip of teflon that rubs down on the tracks,,,but that still leaves an icy cover on the track. What I need is probably a double or tripple header to push the blower,,,
As winter progresses, the switch stands do disappear, we get tons of deep snow and we end up inside on either the HO or the N scale layout,,,till spring !!
The snowblower is on RR wheels, one double axel at the rear and a single axel just under the scoop. It has a RR coupler at the rear and could be pushed,,,,but the problem is that it leaves a thin coat of snow and the wheels under the snowblower tap in on top of the tracks and a loco behind will only spin, no traction, that is why we push it around. Have a good one !!
@ronquebecls I thought of a possible solution to that problem. Perhaps you could add a broom underneath the snowblower to sweep the snow off the railheads. That way you could push it with a locomotive without issue.

Good thing your switch stands are nice and tall, otherwise you'd never find them! :)
