If you LOVE the Stooges, remember RON ASHETON, the heart and soul of the band who with his brother Scotty formed the rhythym section for the most dynamic frontman on the planet, IGGY; Join the Ron Asheton [memorial] Foundation, president Kathy Asheton, vice president Scott Asheton. Kathy sent me an e-Mail giving kind words of support. If you're a Stooges lover, give a little love back and spread the word. Visit through the official Iggy site. For homeless animals and aspiring musicians. )O(
It's a disorder where there's excessive muscle tension. It gives you perfectly toned muscles without having to work out. But in the other hand it causes spastic movements and awkward postures, like having a back that's constantly arched.
Yeah, may be old, but kickin' asses of some younger musicians who sound like boring fat old farts. Wish there was only 1 young new band who can look at the stooges as equals whithout getting ashamed of themselves. Only one band that would be only 20% the stooges were. That would be fine for me, but that doesn't fucking exist.
Alright, do you know what you are talking about? Many people dream of being the Stooges equals where I come from. None of us are ashamed. And Old farts? What young person says that anymore? seriously. And none of your comment makes any sense.
God damn it! This is fucking bumming me out so much today that he's gone. My wife and I were at this very gig and it's so sad to realize this was the last time we saw him alive. At least we saw them play. I loved his guitar style, so raw and raunchy. Everybody copied him, I mean everybody! I'll never forget you brother. Rock on in the afterlife.
The Stooges were, sorry, are just brutal force in the most positive sense. Ron will be missed, but I'm happy he and Scott finally found some kind of success and recognition which they so truly deserved. Sad day it is, but he lived a very strange life that eventually made a great deal of sense to a great deal of people. That is not a bad legacy...

That tight wall of sound will never be duplicated in that exact respect. Ron was an innovative one-of-a-kind guitar player's guitar player.

Ron's music reminds of chess easy to play but hard to master.
I love metal but to me Ron's as important as Vai, Lou Reed, Paco, Django. One of the greastest in the "modern" age.
