  • Uncle Ringo <3.

  • Lol dhani in the background XD 0:50

  • I'll be honest, still pissy that Dhani didn't get a song to sing at the concert. I know he was probably trying to avoid it looking like an ego trip or like he was capitalising on his dead dad, or whatever - but yeah it's a shame. Would've been cool.

My favourite live DVD, either way.

  • Dhani's reference to "Uncle Ringo" at 4:23 is such a sweet moment. I rewatch this video sometimes just to hear it.

  • I'm so glad that George has reached the point of moving on. He is an old soul that has left a major legacy in his wake. This was his final curtain call, his last go round on this soil. He was so blessed to have had such a grand send off. And by that I don't just mean this concert, but his final 58 years in this realm.

  • Good stuff.

  • Dhani looks EXACTLY like his dad!

  • Is that a hookah at 2:04 ?

  • rest in peace george, paul and billy preston

  • @bloodmonk1234 uh....paul isn't dead. John Lennon is, but paul is very much alive.

  • @bashfulbrother i did NOT write this comment :O

i know paul isnt dead i went to his show a year ago

  • @bloodmonk1234 I am sorry if I misunderstood. How does someone write a comment while using your moniker??

  • Música do bem.

  • If I were Ringo or Paul, I'd found it weird to hang out with Dhani. He looks so much like George....

  • awww, uncle ringo! that's so cute! :')

  • 0:49 - 0:55 AWWWWWWWW dhani's so cute when he loses his pick in his guitar. x33

  • @YummyWummyGummyBear When is Dhani NOT cute?

  • thumbs up if u think dhani looks like his dad

  • "uncle ringo" omg im fangirling

  • awww Dhani at 0.50 <3

  • whats the song there playing at 1:20,its so bouncy and fun :D

  • @MrBradleighB "i'll see you in my dreams". it was played at the end of the concert

  • Don't get me wrong, I love George...but it kinda makes me wonder, how come there was never a "Concert for John?" I mean, John was an awesome musician too...

  • @katucheegee I think because everyone was just too shocked and hurt. George died of cancer, but John was murdered by a nutter.

  • @chandramaofficial george could have died in the knife attack u know. They are both talented, and they are friends, best friends. so never compare any of them.

  • @katucheegee Because everyone knew that John was a hypocrite who completely abandoned his eldest son and ran away with a drug addicted Japanese whorebag.

  • @katucheegee There were plenty of tributes for John. Check online.

  • 0:50....Dhani getting a pick out of his guitar...LOL...that happens to me almost all the time...

  • @katucheegee lol, me too :P

  • Did anyone else see Dhani trying to get a pick out of his guitar at 0:44?

  • @fortheloveofthesound yes hahaha and i laughed alot it was so cute awhwhwhwhhww yay

  • "We were in Bob Dylan's garage" ... the simplicity of humble successful artists reminds me that we are ALL here to share our gift of light with each other and we are all the same.

  • GOD Dhani *__________*

  • I'll See You In My Dreams was the song played around 1:27.

This number was the finale of the show sung by Joe Brown

  • What's the song playing at around 1:27?

  • haha okay just goes to show there are 6 more crazy people in the world I haven't met... don't be disliking GEORGE HARRISON'S TRIBUTE!

  • 0:50 georges son getting a pick out of his guitar hahaha

  • @gatty52496 dhani looks soo funny jajajajaj

  • Why the fuck didn't Dhani (or Mini-George, or George MkII) get a fucking song to sing for himself at the show? I loved the performances, but let's be honest - hearing Dhani would've been way better than listening to Tom Petty.

  • When they all started singing Isn't It A Pity, I started crying.

It's so sweet to see all of the people he loved, and who loved him all together.

  • Omg Dhani looks jus lik his dad!!!!! I luv how he refurs to ringo as uncle ringo!!!! xD

  • Omg, Dhani is a cutie pie!!! He looks so much like his daddy!! Ughhhhh I wish tho that he wud cut his hair to the way it is here and not keep it so long

  • @shopaholicgurrl I think he looks good no matter what he does with his hair, but I must admit that when it's short like that you just wanna run your fingers through it and mess it up. He really is just the cutest guy ever, isn't he? There are better looking men, but something about him is just so damn irresistably charming.

  • @moonlily1 hmmm i guess so :) he's just soooo perfect x)

  • Dhani lost his pick in his guitar at 0:48

    lol

I have the concert on DVD it's great thanks for putting this up :)

  • @sgtelzilcho yes!!!

  • Give me drugs, give me drugs, give me lots of drugs.

  • I just watched the concert DVD. It's awesome. I thought for sure I'd skip parts like the Indian portion but it's all great and I could not NOT watch every minute. Highly recommended.

  • Interesting how dhani had and uncle ringo but no uncle paul

  • @theemmers15 yeh good point. I think Dhani picked up on George's own ambivalence towards Paul, which in turn made Paul awkward around both George and probably him too. Underneath it all they all loved each other as brothers, but George had to push back extra hard at Paul to ensure he kept out of his shadow. Paul couldn't stop thinking of George as his little brother, which George found suffocating and patronising. Just my own view, but what do we all know at the end of the day?!

  • Everytime I see Dhani the first thought that comes to mind that it's George haha...

  • LOL Dhani at 0:53 th 0:55 HAHA

  • dhani me recuerdas a tu papa

  • Is it just me or is Dhani just the cutest thing ever?!?!?! Such a mini-George, with an amazing accent!!!

  • 6:49 I wanted to bump into George so I could play the Ukulele with him :(

  • Dhani is so cute! He looks so much like his father!

And it's amazing that all these guys made this wonderful tribute for George!

  • Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Ravi Shankar, Chris Stainton, and Jim Keltner---they all played at The Concert for Bangladesh in 1971 with George. Amazing how good they still sound all these years later. Can I give this more that one thumbs up?

  • @judecreek2 The funny thing is that you can :PP

  • HOLYCRAP dhani looks like george alot

  • 0:50 Dhani's trying to get his pic out of the sound hole hahahahaha funny scene :P

  • why bob dylan didnt go to the concert?

  • Dhani doesn't even mention Paul....

  • @bimboaq James Paul mccartney???

  • His son looks just like him.

  • all these old guys were so influential and so hip back in the day. its weird to see them as a bunch of grandpas, but then to look at old footage and see how they were the driving forces behind the 1960s and 1970s counterculture.

  • @easyrider332 A very COOL bunch of grandpas!

  • @easyrider332 One of the guitarists is my grandpa XD

  • i always thought Pattie Boyd should have come out on stage and taken a bow or something...no pun intended.

  • when he says uncle ringo makes me kinda emotive

  • Me acuerdo cuando compré este dvd antes de que saliera lo pedí en mix up y cuando lo acabé de ver lloré como niña ja ja pero es la musica mas hermosa y mas sentida que se haya hecho George Harrison te echamos de menos todavia.

  • Seeing Dhani fiddle with trying to get the pick out reminds me of my first attempt at getting my pick back! XD

  • Oh, God. Dhani is so cute.

  • Uncle Ringo ♥

    Aww... I wanna cry :')

    I miss you George !!

  • you miss him? You fucked his wife

  • @Dill70 yeah... he did but they were still friends... even after

  • @Dill70 They were separated when Clapton and his wife hooked up and eventually married. Harrison and Clapton remained friends and even referred to each other as "husbands-in-law".

Why do people always need a bad guy in the story? Silly.

  • oh dear, this actually makes my eyes water

  • watch the whole concert DVD online free at:

    moviesdatacenter(dot)com/Movies/Concert-For-George-2003(dot)html

  • los mejores para el mejor homenaje a george harrison. no podia ser de otro modo.adoro a the beatles

  • God, I can never get over how much Dhani looks like George. But he's not George :(

  • Dhani look so much like George. i just cant stop looking at him :) :)

  • At first I thought I was watching an interview with george when he was young or something! they look so much alike!! anyway, I love dhani! he;s sweet (L)

  • Awwh. "Uncle Ringo." That's soo cute. Dhani has an adorable accent. :)

  • Playing "see you in my dreams" in the background.

  • its like george is really there represented by his son dhani, who looks really just like him!!

  • bye george we miss you

  • @1023ems he doesn't mention Paul because when he was growing up the only other beatle around him was ringo

Paul and George hadn't seen each other in a long time

    Just thought I'd clarify :)

  • wow for a second I thought dhani was george! then I read the title of the video. lol

  • It leaves me flabbergasted every time I look at Dhani, because he looks exactly like his father.

  • dhani doesnt mention paul

  • @1023ems Paul was never really around when Dhani and George were- George was not exaclty friends with Paul- he preffered John and Ringo, and John was never that interested in other kids- leaving Ringo to be the only one who played with all 3 other Beatles' kids since Ringo was the only one all 3 others got along with always

  • @4FabBEATLES Paul was best man at George's first wedding. I'm sure, like all friends, they had their ups and downs.

  • what kind of accoustic guitar is using Dhani?? any idea??

  • aww, Dhani.

    4:25

"And, Uncle Ringo." *Extremely cute George-like smile*

    I just love him (:

    RIP George, and John. ♥

  • What the fuck man Every single video on YOUTUBE these days has buffering issues

  • Somebody with a similar name here!

Anyway, I like concerts with lots of music legends all together.

  • I never knew when you put the word "uncle" with Ringo would be SO DAMN COOL!!. . . . .I would love to say "Uncle Ringo" the whole day!!

  • I don't know how Dhani isn't in tears

    I am just watching it

  • tom petty could play riff raff in the rocky horror show without make up!

  • Holy crap Dhani looks A LOT more like George than i thought he would.

  • George had the most beautiful sonf of ll the Betles, such a lovely man

  • @glorybr *soul of all the Beatles

  • beautiful "uncle ringo"

  • at 0:49 in the background dhani drops his pick in his guitar lol:)

  • I read about this DVD in My Heart's Rise Inspirations Behind the Music by Ynot Nosnibor so i figured I'd look it up. So many big music stars in this!

  • Christ! Dhani even drops and recedes his chin the same way that George did!

(You may not see it on this video though)

  • I love when Billy and Ringo talks!

  • 2:13 - my God, I thought I saw George among the players! It's Dhani, he looks SO much like Dad!

  • he sounds like George too- its sad he never got to sing the whole concert- if anyone deserves the right to be on stage at the memorial concert dhani did. Dhani has his own band and writes music too at least.

  • Is Dhani singing on George's last album: Brainwashed?

  • I don't think so- he played instruments, especailly guitar with his dad George on a few songs and later after george's death he finished the Brainwashed album because his dad George left specific directions on waht instruments to use on each, and exactly what he wanted done.

  • After George Harrison's death on 29 November 2001, Dhani Harrison, in collaboration with Jeff Lynne, completed George's final album, Brainwashed, which was released in 2002. Dhani participated in the Concert for George on the first anniversary of George's death.--- -Wikipedia

  • In March 2006, Harrison made a guest appearance on Liam Lynch's Podcast Video Variety Show, Lynchland.[5] They performed a duet that will appear on a Lynch album. He collaborated with Jakob Dylan on the John Lennon song "Gimme Some Truth" for the Lennon tribute album "Instant Karma: The Amnesty International Campaign to Save Darfur", which was released on 12 June 2007. Dhani is credited on two unreleased Traveling Wilburys tracks under the pseudonym Ayrton Wilbury, a tribute to Ayrton Senna.

In April 2006, it was announced that Harrison's band, thenewno2 had begun recording. The band released a music video, "Choose What You're Watching", on its website. thenewno2 features Harrison on lead guitar, synthesiser and vocals and Oli Hecks on drums and synths. He also contributed to the 2007 EP by Heather Porcaro & the Heartstring Symphony, Rooney's 2007 CD Calling the World. --Wikipedia

  • He was involved in a re-working of the Beatles' "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" entitled "The Heart Gently Weeps", which was the first single on the Wu-Tang Clan's album, 8 Diagrams, released in December 2007.

thenewno2's debut album, You Are Here was released online on 11 August 2008 and in stores on 31 March 2009. The song "Yomp" was featured as a downloadable song for the Rock Band series, and "Crazy Tuesday" was on Rock Band 2.

  • Yes he is

  • How cool to call him "Uncle Ringo".

  • I agree- it's becuase Ringo cared for Dhani most- he played with him as a kid- like another parent, cause' Paul was too busy then with Wings. Paul was basically Julian Lennon's stepfather though cause' John died and Yoko hated Julian cause' Julian wasnt her kids- he was John & Cynthia's.

  • Thanks for all that info about Dhani. Hope he has a good musical career. It's hard with your Dad being George....

  • @tatywaty11 you wish! as do I. . . as does everyone i am sure. . that be crazyyyy if you were actually telling the truth. . but i highly doubt it. sorry

  • sedmpre musica sospesa indefinita leggera ,come una nuvola e intensa come la luce d'autunno tra la nebbia .grandi musicisti per un grande musicita

  • did Dhani sing anything?

  • he sang wiht other musicians during the 2nd half of the concert- but not solo.

  • uncle ringo??

  • @jimleerules jajajajajajja

  • @jimleerules

Well you can call even if you not releated someone uncle.. and i think Ringo can feel like an uncle to him, is that so strange?

  • @jimleerules In many societies, old family friends are referred to as "uncle" or "aunt" out of respect In Hawaii, where George spent his last years, everyone is your uncle or auntie. It's as normal as if they were blood relatives. We don't have sticks stuck up our bums.

  • ray cooper talks! wtf!! that's an awesome dude!

  • 0:50

Dhani's pick got in the guitar xDDDDDDDD

this happens to me a ridiculous amount of time... now I see how fumy it looks to shake an acoustic around like a mad person.

  • @RingoGeorgeJohnPaul2 No but if you have braces they can get caught in the harmonica, it's not fun.

  • @ParapsychoNightmare really? did tht happen 2 u? wow............ and tht is why i hate my braces!! freakin things!

  • give love, give love, give me... peace... Give live, give me life...

  • wat was the name of the song shankar wrote for george

  • Thanks.

  • esta subtitulado que bien

  • 55 sec: the guy dropped his pick in his guitar lol!

  • lol that was Dhani

  • lol good eye

  • ahaha, thats fuckin awesome

  • @9reasy5am You mean Dhani. George's son. YOu dont know who that is

  • @RubberBeatle at the time of my comment, you would be right, I did not know that that was george's kid. however I did figure it out after the first reply to my comment. but that aside, it was just an observation, and something to point out that I found funny.

  • damn Dhani is George's clone when he was younger lol

it's kinda scary cuz i keep thinking it's George

  • have you ever heard him sing, omg, he sounds soo much like him also

  • i know .. its soo scary its like george reborn. he's the spitting image . you have to look twice because like you said you think its george .

  • Another scary thing is, that the son of John Lennon was born in the day that John Lennon was born. Interesting, isn't it?

  • Comment removed

  • The remaining Beatles once commented that it looked like they got older but George stayed young when playing with Dhani.

  • If you love George and you haven`t seen the Concert For George in its entirety, please rent it or buy it. It is one of the finest pieces of live music you will ever hear, extremely tight, played lovingly and emotionally by the people that George spent his life making music with. A remarkable event...

  • Ringo, Dhani and George are my favorite people on earth! <3

  • yessss haha mine tooo!

    <
