the film Black and Blue maybe long for DVD release, but dammit, waiting for a proper documentary on BOC?! What's the hold up?? A truly amazing band and will never be forgotten
How about a new hit TV show Buck Dharma and Greg? hahaha I never saw this, but I do a bit o the SOLO and it's fun for anyone starting out. I knew it was a skit, never capture moments like the birth of a classic, because you can't plan it!
I've never heard a BOC song that I didn't like. I prefer the works prior to Revolution by Night, but they never stopped rocking. Dharma and Bloom have never failed to satisfy my love for perfect rock.
It is a timeless rift. Eric Bloom stated in those YT interviews (to the right of this page) that Sting told him he modified the opening rift and song structure for "message in a bottle"
Just gotta say, even when played just like that ,in its simplest acoustic form, thats is still one of the most timeless and evocative riffs EVER. Funnily enough I worked out how to play it just like that. DFTR, Boston, More than a feeling, and Journey, Don't stop Believin, THE 3 greatest songs ever written PERIOD!
Man, that was hilarious. Now that's a show I'd watch. Did his mustache actually fall off when he wrote that song? It was so good it actually blew his mustache off. Man, what happened when Zeppelin wrote "Stairway...", did their testicles explode!
i remember watching this on the website many, many years ago. Any chance of seeing any of the other ones they put up? The singing dog? The Hitler mustache? Gawd, that one was classic!
Now the mysteries stand explained... and in this case, THANK YOU, SANDY for the spookiest intro riff ever written. Damn the f*ing SNL skit for ruining some of the secret magic unleashed upon the unwitting throngs who have fallen prey as volunteers, not victims, to the sorcery of this song......
What a great, great vid. Clearly Buck and Sandy are still very much in love to-day. Thanks so much for making my day. I simply can't stop smiling after watching this.
FWIW: ME 262 still ranks as my al time fave BOC tune
What a great guy and what a great band! There are so many great songs out there that young kids today will never know.. Agent of Fortune, Mirrors, and Cultosaurus Erectus were absolutely great records!
@CE750 Late comment.. but i Agree! Im 20 and own almost every one of their albums on cd.. Always love puting one on when i have people over.. Long live the BOC!
@CE750 I like some of their early stuff from the first three albums: Blue Oyster Cult, Tyranny and Mutation, and Secret Treaties. "Before the Kiss, A Redcap" is one of my favorites.
Sandy is cool..had the opportunity to speak with her after a Vegas BOC show...smart, good looking, nice.....I believe she co wrote "I LOve the Night"......Good luck in Europe this summer 2008.
I've seen BOC @ 10 times; lately small venues in MD. I've met Sandy and him; she is great! I was backstage via friends and was VERY out of place. She knew it and showed me pics of their house and kids!! Told me how Zack is doing in school. Last time I saw BOC Buck must have remembered from before because I reached for a handshake and got a hug and kiss on the cheek. They (BOC) and the 'Dharmas' are fabulous. I told him he was Edgar Allan Poe reincarnated. Read Poe, hear Roeser.
I have a huge cult symbol tattoo on my right arm and have been Bucks #1 West Chicago fan back in 1975. I saw BOC in 76, 77 and 79 in Chicago, Ampitheatre.
Buck is my # 1 guitar influence of all time, and believe me I've had many. I got into Carlos and Jimi and Zep and aerosmith for years.... But Buck has comforted my soul and has turned me into a veteran of a psychic war dancing in the ruins bcz tomorrow will soon turn into yesterday.
You're part of my family. Thanks for giving me a look into yours.

Paullonden, Hardly any Yanks or Brits use the umlaut because we would have to cut and paste it from Microsoft Words pulldown menu.
However, now thanks to you we can cut and paste it from yours. Ö Ö Ö Ö Ö Ö. Thanks for providing a valuable community resource!

able to type a bloody "umlaut" ? ö

Whell....It's no disaster,I know, but....
Could be different keyboard settings ?
Mine works like this, first type " after that
an O, wich makes Ö.
Could be the European setting on
my keyboard, wich doesn't fear
the Umlaut q"_"p
