By the way, it seems to me that the best bang for the buck would probably be either this Morgan Monroe or the Gold Tone. I would have liked to have heard a mid-priced Washburn (B-17 or so) to compare as well.
I'm a guitarist who is shopping for his first banjo. It's hard for me to tell much difference in tone out of the 11-videos. the Gibson RB-75 and the Huber seem to have a little better bottom end. The Stelling had a bit of a hollow sound that wasn't real impressive to me. All the others sounded a lot alike though and were all very good.
Which Morgan Monroe is this? The MNB-1?

This looks like my Tanglewood , I think the same Korean banjo has many been taken up bu many of the big Brand Names
