I have watched the japanese zyurangers and the american mighty morphin power rangers. And I can also tell if it is sentai ranger or power ranger. The sentai rangers use silk fabric because thats why in the power ranger series their costumes are always shining when ever its japanese footage also it makes them look skiny. The american power rangers use a different fabric that I think could possibly be polyester which makes them look a little bit chunky.
I knew steve back before he was the red power ranger back in carrollton, tx. The only red ranger that pops out in my mind as spectacular was Andros. He was the one who ended the Zordon saga. He carried out the duty of ending the more powerful old evil. Lost Galaxy was the mark of new evil that was able to rain in because Andros cleared out the more powerful old evil. After the United Alliance of Evil was ended all that was left was washed up bad guys.

Jason could have NEVER been replaced. Rocky was a big letdown. He was great as Zeo Ranger Blue though. When all that pressure of the red ranger was off.
I wouldn't say Jason was necessarily "replaced", but by the 2nd season Tommy had moved into his spot as the leader. I never thought of Rocky as the leader just because he wore the same suit Jason wore.
At the Orlando FX Convention, my friend and I were the only 2 people out of the thousands of people there to pay for a photo-op with him. It was epic. I was 4 when Power Rangers came out. A few months later I ask him if he would call my friend for his birthday, and he actually did. So. He's a pretty swell guy.
