  • Brilliant!!

  • Damn my eyes must need testing, i swear i just saw 31 dislikes to this amazing track - gotta be a mistake..

  • this song brings back a library of cherished memories . this song is really really beautiful. Keep this diamond alive...it is one of the best in a livetime

  • My wife's and my wedding song GREAT TUNE love the hollies

  • Great song performed by a truly great band. The were inspired to record this after hearing Phil Everly's version from his first solo album. I'm glad it was such a huge hit.

  • CREEP STyle !!

  • Reminds me of my husband...=)

  • I'm so glad that this video is still on YT. There's very few songs that I know have that have the sincerity, feeling and depth of emotion of this one. One of the greatest love songs ever written, and it doesn't sound for one second like it was written as a money making exercise. The best songs never pull any punches or come across as dispassionate. This is something that NEEDS to be shared in this sometimes desperate world!!! :)))))))))))))))))))))))))

  • Anal sex

  • im trying to quit smoking

  • @lisaness30 its not a coincidence check out my comment below i explain it there

  • did you know that every time creep by radiohead is played on the radio Albert Hammond (Albert Hammond jr's dad- the strokes) get a royalty payment because he was originally granted a co-songwriting credit on the song because of this song which he co-wrote in 1973.

  • I only know him with the Hollies,is there a book about the Hollies? If not somebody should write one. They are my favs.Wayne1king,tell me about.Tks,sueli.

  • The greatest lead singer of ALL times,Mr.Allan Clarke, there will be no other in my life time!!!!!

So much love for the Hollies. Thanks for all the great songs and the memories.

  • @ are you sure his name is Allan Clarke? When he was with the Shondells his name was Tommy James.

  • Great song! Dope ass lyrics too!

  • Thanks for posting this. I was just trying to explain to my 20-year-old daughter that Radiohead seemed to have quoted this song in "Creep" but I can see that it's just coincidental. Love the song.

And now I feel really old...

  • This song is amazing like all those artists of the 70's pure passion and patience peace to all

  • Great song!

  • strangely really like this song

  • I LIKE!!!

  • "Stomp Out Rap" sounds AWESOME ! This is one of my all time fav songs....and I have been around for 45 years, and into music for 43 of them, so I know GOOD music when I hear it.

  • This is one of the best songs of all time. I would put it in my top five. Anyone up for forming a movement called "StompOutRap"?

  • Wonderful!

Love is samadhi as Osho says.

    But it drains one's energy.

    There is something higher.

    Meditation and non clinging.

One Republic's song: Say ( All I need is the Air that I Breathe and a Place to Rest My Head)...Do you know where your heart is?

    This is IT!

  • great song and great harmony,28 people need to breath in more air and clear their mind

  • @belisarius30 That's cos Facebook sucks

  • pure class

  • BEAUTIFUL SONG.

  • They play this all the time at my work!

  • I think my memory of Alfalfa's rendition of this song is preventing me from discerning any similarity Radiohead's Creep might have with it.

  • Would you guys stop this already, Radiohead's Creep sounds similar to this song. Creep is better due to the reason for about 20 million views on their song. Plus if you didn't know I started this conversation a long time ago on this video.

  • @1996radiohead views =/= quality

  • @1996radiohead So if there r more views, the song is better, that's ur logic?

If there were 10 billion views would they be better than the Beatles?

    BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @brokenhoghead

I'm a massive fan of The Beatles, but even songs like Something, and Don't Let Me Down don't quite get into the soul as this. IMHO

  • @1996radiohead

    (1) You didn't start this conversation you tool, there was a huge lawsuit over Creep years ago, its a commonly known case of copyright infringement and its discussed on EVERY version of this song on Youtube.

    (2) And if 'more views means better' than apparently Bieber is the new Mozart, as his track 'Baby' has over 500 million views, making him '25 x better than Radiohead' using your own stupid logic.

Now please shut up and let the adults talk, thanks.

  • This song was totally written post-coital ;)

  • I wonder why fashion, art, music, architecture, behavior, logic, etc from the 70's seemed so organic, convoluted, and blindingly colorful.

  • This song was written by Albert Hammond of "It Never Rains In Southern California" fame.

  • CAUSE IM A CREEP...IM A WEIRDO.....

  • @Darkious Hah so that's where they got it from :)

  • No similarities at all

  • @thecolaratlady I agree

  • @thecolaratlady I agree

  • Outfuckingstanding. nothing more to say..

  • What a wonderful song. It's a classic!

  • Thanks for posting this ROSEWILLOW1. I watch it often. And listen you guys...just keep posting! we love it.

  • When this song came out>>>instant HIT, period, is all I know.

  • "No cigarettes -- no sleep -- no light, no sound"

"She's running out -- the door"

Both sung with the same tune.

I'm now confident that Radiohead created Creep on the basis of this song. But that does not make me love the song any less. It still takes talent to further improve that which is already incredible.

  • hey belisarius30 i have had the same situation and i it make me really sad. not because my friends at fb might not have known that but in my opinion after listening to this song it's hard not to love it. What kind of friends do I have? ;D

  • this song reminds me of alfalfa

  • I love you Mo. Come home, I can't breath without you.

  • Might be the same? Radiohead hacks stole the song and had to pay!!

  • i think the singer also ripped off radiohead's neckerchief

  • radiohead didnt rip off the hollies, the similarities between the songs are the chords for the verse. its a very distinct progression, BUT its not illegal to use previous chord progressions, otherwise there would be only 100 song

  • so who's the guy playing acoustic?

  • @leakawatchempino The guy playing the acoustic guitar is the gorgeous and talented Terry Sylvester.

  • @heymaryann1 thank you

  • just another great tune by a really good band from the British Invasion days, and they carried on quite well after Graham Nash left.

  • What model is that Rickenbacker?

  • I have put this on my fbook wall, and noone liked it.. Can you imagine that???

  • @belisarius30 nope can't imagine that, it's such an awesome song, just now re-posted to my wall.:)

  • @belisarius30 No I can't imagine that. :) I don't do the fbook thing but I can't imagine a majority of people not liking this song. This song is a classic.

  • @belisarius30 People has no taste at all! :)

  • @TeresixvanFru I agree.. But people here have good taste :)..

  • @belisarius30 Hmmm, I'm trying to imagine that and I can't. The Hollies did such a wonderful job on so many of there songs. Nobody is perfect but they come damned close.

  • @belisarius30 I feel you!And it's so annoying when songs like Friday get like two dozens of likes..I mean..Friday??Seriously???Come on now..

  • @porock21gr I feel you too and I agree with you.. Totally..

  • @porock21gr especially with fatboygetdown dancing to it with his 600 fuckin lbs lol if you aint seen it, you have to see this FOOL dancing to various songs

  • @belisarius30 Tell me about it... I'm always posting great oldies such as this one and no likes!!!

  • @mhuffman2882 Well, it seems that only few of us have a great taste.. Because of this behaviour of my friends I have left fbook for a while.. And you know what, I am much happier now :)..

  • @belisarius30 Well, haven't left facebook but still some are completely disturbed!! I don't need them to like it for me to like it so I just continue to listen to great music with or without them. :)

  • @belisarius30 keep it on your wall

  • @belisarius30 ...I like this song...My future husband dedicate this song to me.... he doesnt remember who sang it... I told him ...THE HOLLIES... and I sang it to him..... If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass.... Cant think of anything I need.... No cigarettes, no sleep, no lights, no sound...nothing to eat, no books to read....

Making love with you....has left me peaceful warm n tired...what more could I ask...there's nothing left to be desired...........................................

  • @belisarius30 No I can't!!!

  • @belisarius30 Their daft!

  • @belisarius30

Yes, I can- such a simple but effective and memorable song seems to be lost on today's overly philosophical world.

  • Greatly underated group, brilliant sound.

  • VERY NICEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • Great fucking song, of course anything produced by Alan Parsons is going to be great..but Allen Clakes's voice is awesome here. I was 9 in 1974 and this song was all over the radio....

  • 1970...not 1974

  • @mizzstephanie1 The Air That I Breathe was released in 1974.

  • This is and they are truly great.

  • Classic............wow!

  • fuckin love this!!!!!!

  • THAT S IT THE REST IS REST HOLILIES IS ALL

  • I trust the Radiohead rip-off comments are kidding. This song was released in 1974. Radiohead formed in 1985. You're all correct though - "The Air That I Breathe" and "Creep" sound remarkably similar at the beginning. If anything, Radiohead "might" have been inspired a bit by this riff, but that's just a guess. Both are great bands.

  • @ColemanGasGrill800 sub or not they ripped it off...as one musician to another...you know...

  • @ColemanGasGrill800

I think the dude that wrote this song has songwriting credits on Creep. It wasn't a ripoff because he was credited though, unlike how the Verve ripped off The Rolling Stones.

  • @ColemanGasGrill800 ok, i gotta look up this CREEP thing that alot have been talking about.

  • I would never have let Simply Red Do this. THEY have missed out half the song, AND got one verse WRONG. I.e Thieves came upon me.... And instead of So Sleep, silent Angel, Go To Sleep, they have said Don't you sleep... A chaotic reorganisation of a Classic song that should NEVER have been re-recorded by another group.

  • @plumbingandrains

radiohead were after the hollies actually, so please research what you are saying before posting them.

  • @lovemusic19Nat Plumbingandrains is an idiot

  • @plumbingandrains radiohead ripped everyone off including the hollies, the carpenters and God knows who else, many more I presume so that take shyt somewhere else, This is a page for the hollies admirers.

  • when was this song released?

  • Raido Heads ripoff ala Creep

  • @ASR10MAN Elaborate, please. I'm interested.

  • @FrakersFace me too

  • @FrakersFace

Just listen to the opening riffs.

It sounds like 'creep' and you can even sing 'creep' to it!

  • Life reflection # 99..........................

  • Superb.

  • The stuff they did in The 60's, I think, was better. This was a little sappy for my taste. Just saying.

  • @kja427 Whatever

  • How I feel about you, Tina.

  • Pretty well sums up true love. Great song!

  • Very beautiful song by and by.

  • fuck yes, 2162 likes to 27 dislikes. That's a sweet ratio, I bet those 27 only did it to troll, anyway.

  • we can hear that the first verse influenced RadioHead with their song "Creep"

  • Albert Hammond(Sr.) is the writer of this uncredible song

  • no graham nash here either...maybe they made all these hits after he left?

  • @beatlestoneful The Hollies biggest hits came after Graham Nash left & when his replacement, Terry Sylvester (the hot guy in the tan suit), was with the group.

  • im going to make this my wifes ringtone

  • I did not live then, but I'm in love with these old tunes.

I do live and really enjoy what it worth!

I'm in love with a Brazilian foreign old songs!

  • One of the greatest bands Britain EVER produced. Ahh, memories of fifteen again

  • The very best of the 60s 70s and 80s (and beyond) Fantastic band who moved with the times to be a lot more than just a Pop Group from the sixties.

  • one of the best songs ever

  • @ayotteable it depends on what age you are. they were anything but underrated in my teens, believe me. obviously, ppl are still looking for them because.... here we are.

  • @TheAdamfan4ever Man, I'd love to hear Adam Lambert ruin this song...

  • @Naybanger LMAO! Makes me wonder?

  • Excellent Band and singer. I grew up listening to the music made in the 60's and 70's and loved every minute of it! I agree with Neilzep that this song is close to perfect as any beautiful song can get.

  • ONE OF THE BEST SONGS EVER RECORDED.....

  • @Lolao92563 I agree ...make that one of the best love-songs

    of all times!!!! LOLA??????

  • @1Kristinoelani

    His name is Tony Hicks.

  • @Noboddhi Tony Hicks, still looks much the same as he did all those years ago.

  • creep

  • One truly great song!

  • sometimes...a song is simply perfect...this is one of them...

  • I wish i could go back and feel exactly like this, just that moment.. I wish it were enough now..

  • wait ...wait....when song over

    get out tha car

  • Really a true classic song that "never goes out of style" ....

  • One of the greatest songs .

  • always liked the Albert Hammond version better

  • 24 People could make a wish..but passed!!

  • I was born in 1971 and the youngest and only boy with Six older sisters. This is the first song that I can remember, i used to sing it when i was around 3-4 and my eldest sisters boyfriend would record it on his brown imitation wood, mono cassette deck. (I remember that too) Good times.

  • When I was twelve, this song graced the airwaves. I imagine the dried golden grasses - wild oats - of northern California, blowing in the summer breeze. I cherish these memories of a time that was. America doesn't quite feel the same now, for some reason - and I cling to these early 1970s memories vividly.

  • @NatureGirl62 - Hello. It's not your imagination. I agree that America doesn't feel as warm, hopeful, casual, united & safe as it did back then. I do my best to create the feel of it with my husband (a garage band drummer turned patent attorney) in our own home for our two children who love these tunes almost as much as I do. Peace, Love & Best Wishes to you.

  • @mjcamck Oh, how the mighty have fallen! All the way from garage band drummer, down to lowly patent attorney! Don't worry. There's always the food bank Ha! Ha!

  • @sixtiesrockboy - Hello. I can't tell if this is just good-natured sarcasm or you're trying to be cruel. In the 60's, numerous high school/college students formed bands just for the FUN of playing w/ no desire to "make it big" in the music business. My husband's fellow group members all had other career ambitions. FYI - patent attorneys all have double degrees & are in high demand. Sticking to the original subject, THIS BEAUTIFUL SONG W/ an uplifting message is a CLASSIC. Peace & Love to ALL.

  • @mjcamck Hi! Exactly the opposite! I was'nt diminishing your husband's accomplishments, but glorifying the kingly garage band drummer. Ha Ha. Louie Louie, which I believe was by The Kingsmen, was a garage band hit in 1964. I've been through so much in my life, including Vietnam combat, that I developed a sense of humor to help me survive! Wonderful song!

  • @sixtiesrockboy - Hello. First, THANK YOU for your military service. It was distressing to see the lack of respect for many Viet Vets. We (drug-free) Peace Activists were only against the conflict, Not individual soldiers who we wanted to see all come home safely. Otherwise, reply appreciated. I could see there was a chance you were laughing with us, not at us. You're right about the positive role humor can play in dealing w/ the travails of life. Best Wishes, Peace & Love to you.

  • radiohead sampled the hollies

  • My favorite all time make-out song..lol

  • "PEACE CAME UPON ME"

  • One of the most under-rated bands in the history of popular music.

  • here's me thinking the hollies only sang look through any window, these guys are awesome

  • Terry Sylvester looks and sounds like an angel.

  • @heymaryann1

he also did work with alan parsons another underated group, alan parsons worked with the hollies what wonderful times these must of been parsons said they were great to workm with

  • Wow! Does this bring back memories for me...Loved this song!!

  • This used to be my favorite love song and still is after all these years!! How great to feel this way and everyone truly in love feels this way at some times.

  • i envy all those whom are 70z kids....damn everybod was happier and music was btter....it had more feeling innit...and hey it was about different things...unlike today which the majority of what is made...is about sex...or something....i wish i was a 70s kid....but my friend and i hope to bring the 70z back...when it is the 70s again!!! :P i love this!!! UUFF

  • I got a brand new radio the year this song was a hit. i was 11. I loved this song then, and I love it still.

  • omg, breath taking............Indeed the "AIR THAT I BREATHE" Classic in every sense of the word. omg....
