How exactly is all this old anime creepy as hell? They always got his weird offbeat dark-as-hell atmosphere.. everything looks softly focused and sorta blurry (even on high quality rips of this stuff) and there's always this weird ass glare/shine thing going on... almost as if everything is supposed to be a dream so they developed the pictures underwater... but they always manage to get the perfectly fucked up movie and art styles too.. anyway... hi.

I was actually referencing the original one from the 70s, in that film the only blood and gore you saw was the infamous meat-hook scene and the final events toward the very end. Most of the gore was actually implied with the dried bones and corpses..

That scene with the two motorbikes is completely unrealistic. He'd lose both legs long before his upper body would split like so. This scene is far more accurate, reality-wise.

And there are uncensored english dubs. They were released in the US by Critical Mass, a division of The Right Stuf. I saw an uncut english dub of this back in '97, and it included this part and the motorbike scene in full.
