the original version of spore comes out for pc and mac... the cell phase is coming out for the iphone, and a game called spore creatures is coming out for the DS, you only get the creature phase with some wacky graphics!

This is actually part of a bigger game slated to release later this year. You start from a small thing in a pond and as you progress you can change your appearance as shown here. Eventually you stop editing your creature and start making buildings and then spaceships where you get to teraform planets.
