Pretty much. It was like being in a small boat on the river next to the barge lighting them on the 4th of July.
I was so close I'm surprised the sound didn't distort because the booms bouncing off the buildings on either side of the park were really loud
One year they went off without warning and a lady's dog took off like a bullet and was never seen again.
