Maru always have being a solid chunky cat with short plush dense furs.

mugumogu stated a while back on the blog that Maru's weight is 5.5kgs.

From observation:

Blog images where Maru laid on the white computer chair on 25FEB2010.

Maru will be about 45-50cms from head to the start of his dark fat striped tail.

He is a big/stocky build cat!

Maru is chubby but not fat and still on the healthy side. His weight is healthy I have a cat that weights the same but he just has a different build (more on the muscle side). Maru is not fat, he's just solid chunky like LeunigAtTube said.

I'm sorry your cat got cancer, but in most cases it's just varying skin pigmentation, same reason as they have different coloured patches of fur -- the skin patches too.

Two of my cats were born with a spotty nose, and lived full lives with no issues.

Often it's the pale skin on a cat's face which can grow cancer.
