2. I used to use TDK SA90 cassettes. If they are not available choose a good quality type 2 Chrome cassette.
3. Bounce or Ping Pong ( see page 20 of the user manual Here... fostexinternational(dot)com/docs/tech_support/pdfs/x26_owners_manual.pdf
4. Treat the X26 as if it were a musical instrument, not just a recording machine. Don't let the controls sit static when you are mixing to two tracks, keep tweaking and add effects :-)

wow ive just started using a fostex x26 and this sounds amazing it sounds like you have used more then 4 track ......any advice
