Love this song since I've seen Detroit Rock City, which is one of my favourite road movies of all times!
Also: OMG! DANCING audience?! I've never seen such thing before. But then again ... I'm a metal-head. Everybody knows we didn't even know how to dance if our lives depended on it.
Listened to an interview with Anthony and Chad from the Chili Peppers on Jo Whiley's show on Wednesday night on Radio 2. Apparently this is one of their favourite tunes.......don't know quite what that says about Sweet, the Chilis or me but thought I'd pass it on.......peace and love.
What's great about this is that Kurt Cobain saw it when he was growing up. He totally did the same thing on Top of the Pops when Nirvana came through there.
Weird! I just posted that same observation on another video for this same exact song. Brilliant minds think a like I guess. Anyway, I think their similarity is more in their image and their posing but maybe in the music too to some degree.
I was 8 years old and bought this 45 ..had no idea what a great band they were until I was MUCH older...Steve Priest was such a doll baby!!...love the ornery look in his eye!
@goofygoat2009 Agree! 70's rock, was the last decade for good rock n roll music! I was in high school in the 70's i'm so glad I was a part of it! very glad that young people today enjoy the music.
@magicalhoneypie I gotta disagree with you on that one, with all due respect. The 90's had some of the best music I've ever heard. much of what was called grunge was actually just really hard rock.
Such a great song by a great band! Its so funny, they didnt even TRY to play in synch with the recording! The drum set doesnt even have bass drum pedals!!!
Brian actually sang LIVE, knowin' what I know 'bout TOTP, the songs were usually lip-synched. Billboard's #74 song of '76. How'd it do in the UK? God bless!
I adore The Sweet and saw them back in '92 on the Monsters of Glam Rock tour (well Brian was there anyway.) One thing though- as the group started to look less fresh faced (as a result of living the rock and roll lifestyle) and therefore actually needed to wear make up, why did they start wearing so much less?
c'est amusant de les revoir. J'enviais tellement les anglais d'avoir cette émission TOP OF THE POPS et j'aimais cette chanson. que font-ils maintenant ces beaux garçons ? what do they do now ? are they always in show biz ?
Great music of the day!!! Damn! I'm gonna dig waaaaay back deep in my closet and get out my platform shoes, flare leg pants, and find a bowl to put on my head to get that way-cool hair do. (hair-don't).
Just makin' a little fun because we all wore this scary crap back in the day, while sporting the hippy, mullet, bad-ass hair-do look.
Haben die damals alle Perücken getragen .. GRINS! Hier ein weiterer Kultsong aus den 70ties .. halt Old-School-mässig. Der Song kletterte in den deutschen Charts bis auf Platz eins.

I never heard this before, they put it in the awsome movie ''THE GOODS'' everyone should check it out it's funny as hell it took me a little bit to find but I listen to this really good music everyday now it makes me happy!!
From 1973-1978, The Sweet had 4 top-10 hits in the USA; 1973-Little Willie #3, 1975-Ball Room Blitz #5, 1976-Fox on The Run #5 and 1978-Love Is Like Oxygen #8.
The SWEET FOREVAAAA,......hmm....never noticed until now but the dark-blonde guitar player with only a vest on, looks like my HS buddy B. White,....lol....! xD

Somewhat...with the heavy metal it's like Sweet on acid if you know what I mean.
IF Spinal Tap (or the genesis of the band) was a real group in 1966, I would've like them save the fact that I was only four in real time.
