  • lol EXACTLY what i was looking for on youtube xD Thanks for posting this, this made my night :]

  • the only dvd release of the tv series "Delta State" is the so called "the complete first seaon" the problem is that season one has 26 episodes and the dvd only has the first 13 episodes so the CAKE IS A LIE!

  • I will admit, though, the DVD presentation was at least ACCEPTABLE on the Rio DVD. I mean, the main menu had music from the movie and a whole collage of clips running in the back. It's good in that quality....but not Special Features.

  • Want to know something REALLY pathetic?

I recently bought the DVD to Rio (Which is one of my all-time favorite films), which came out THIS YEAR, and the DVD had a grand total of four, count 'em, FOUR SPECIAL FEATURES.

Goddamnit Fox, you charge me 18 dollars for a DVD that barely has the courtesy to put special features in it? I love Rio, and I honestly want you to review it, MPC, but he DVD has NO courtesy taken for special features...though there is a "Party Edition" with tons of features...

  • The most pathetic part of it all is that nowadays, in the two thousand and ten year after christ, where there's a whole generation that has born in a fully digital world, and where a fuckup like me can download a FREE software and create a decent menu, with basic design parameters, studios still manage to launch awful DVD's with menus that resembles 1970-tv-series-intro-fonts.

  • i have a simillar dvd edition of the 1989 Batman movie and I have never seen any of the Mad Max movies on dvd in my country (Denmark). Both things piss me of.

  • I've got the same DVD player! Freakin' sweet! Also... a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie begins without the menu.

  • its a dumbass movie too so is mad max

  • You never reviewed AVP Requiem

  • That is the worst DVD

  • On the Australian DVD of "Jason Goes To Hell" You can only Choose "Play","

"Subtitles" or "Some Ad for the company that made the DVD"

  • You guys realise that to the Australian people, this is what is studied by film students in universities as one of our country's greatest cinematic achievements right?

This movie for that alone deserves better, especially in Australia. I consider the film Not Quite Hollywood to be the unofficial special features to Road Warrior.

  • The DVD of the internet series Red vs Blue is way better than most direct-to-DVD movies

  • Wait... did he call Road Warrior "classic cinema"? AH-HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

  • Lol alien vs hunter. that is the funniest thing i have ever seen

  • Umm, dude.. 1st gen DVD.. but thanks for the oh so awesome waste of time

  • It's probably a first generation DVD you bloody moron! Disc capacity from the mid1990's didn't have all capacity to hold all of the extras plus the movie. You claim to be a film buff and you didn't even know that basic fact of technology history?!

Either that you have an illegal bootleg copy. Either way, you don't have the right to complain.

  • I hear the special features for the first mad max dvd sucks.

  • Goodfellas is the exact same way. I think that was the worst DVD ever because you had to take the DVD out at a certain point and flip it over to watch the rest of the movie. I think they are called "flippers". Goodfellas was also released by Warner Bros. They must be the kings of the bad DVD.

  • The blu-ray version of this movie is ten times better than the dvd. What the blu-ray is still lacking though, is good extras. So far the only good Road warrior extra appeared on the original vhs tape in the form of a 6 minute making of documentary. I really hope George Miller releases a special edition with interviews, behind the scenes footage, and photographs. The blu-ray only as a brief interview with George Miller and Dean Semler

  • Check Out the beetlejuice dvd also

  • what about the DVD for Mortal Kombat, it´s my all-time favorite movie, but the DVD is just like the DVD for The Road Warrior, only difference is that it has menus, the only special features are the trailer and text profiles of the characters, also, the scene selection is wrong, the DVD has a total of 27 chapters, but only 9 are displayed, and if you click on a image, you will go to a random ch. number (ex.: the first image is ch.2) wtf?!

  • hahah this was hilarious!

  • My teacher bought "A Time To Kill" on DVD and it was worse. It's not even that long of a movie, and it was split between two DVDs. And it had all the same shit wrong with it as The Raod Warrior and Twister did.

  • dude cool review but a movie with the budget of road warrior i doubt they had an extra camera to film a behind the scenes thing, a lot of early movies were like that. people back then didnt care about how things were filmed, also how would the viewing public ever see them

  • Actually the VHS has a behind the scenes documentary.

  • You Should check out the Maximum Overdrive DVD, it's not as bad as Road Warrior's DVD, but it still sucks monkey shit

  • a lot of early dvds were like this

  • i've watched two or ur vids and now i'm pushing subscribe!

    Fucking brilliant! very very funny

  • lots of really old dvd r like this. I think the rock, outbreak, memphis belle r all like this. im sure there r others. but i guess u cant help it since dvds werent to common.

  • I have a decent release of The Road Warrior with normal menues.

  • I have this DVD. Such a classic begs for a proper re-release.

  • that made me lagh

  • They almost used a PPT. file

  • I think the best people for DVD's are either Fox or Anchor Bay.

  • WB was the worse for DVD's but in the last few years they've developed so much

  • I'm not sure this is the worst. I have a DVD which is double sided. Thats right, it has an A-side and a B-side.

Now you'd think it would be a low budget film, but it isn't. Its "The Color Purple" for pete's sake.

It also has the random scene thing.

But I guess it could be worse, it has got images from the film, in the background of the main menu. And I did kinda like the A-side, B-side thing, even though it is pointless.

So, this DVD could still be the worse.

  • Dude, I have a 3 disc Micheal Jordan DVD set. They are double sided, so it is like 6 DVD's it is AWESOME.

  • lol, kool!

  • There is nothing wrong with the A-side B-side thing.

There a lot of two disk sets out there and the doublesided disk is just one way of presenting a it.

  • Beetlejuice and Mars Attacks are the same thing on their DVD's. But their scene selection are better.

It's funny that they are all Warner's Brothers movies that have this format. But it at least goes to show how much DVD's have evolved since then.

  • I fucking agree with you man. That DVD is a total bullshit, if I wanted to read about the production I'd use Wikipedia, not rent a DVD.

And what the fuck is up with just a few scene selections? I should be able to choose from ALL the scenes, not just a few ones.

That DVD sucks major ass, I'm favoriting this, since it's a damn good example of a crappy DVD.

  • yeah

i hate it when certain DVDs have no specialty to them

at least put some effort to give us some more after the movie

DVD movies should at least take some time to be more developed

  • It's not the worst ever. I've seen much worse. You have no idea what you're talking about. Get some more experience you peanut.

  • Ok im willing to believe that maybe you've seen worse. But perhaps instead of being such an ass about it maybe you should site some examples so that you dont come across as such a prick.

  • Quite right you are. Point taken. I should have sited some examples to reinforce my statement. Thank you for taking time out of your life to tell me how to live mine. I appreciate the sentiment.

  • A prick to who? I'm sure the DvD is very offended by his words..

  • blade runer was like that

  • Tell me about it -- WB's DVD of "Beetlejuice" is this same way. It's just like the "Road Warrior" DVD; released in 1997 and has never been reissued since!

  • Actually, Beetlejuice got a Anniversary edition region 1 release, but all you get are 3 cartoons and a trailer. Oh, goody(!)

  • Yes, I was aware of that after I wrote that comment. And you're right, that DVD release isn't much better.

  • yeah your right that is a pretty bad dvd. but you have to remember alot of dvds out right now start from the v beginning. like dragonheart for instance. and i think shrek one does as well (although i could be wrong) but a great review and it is, the worst dvd ever.

  • The incessant beeping made me turn this off halfway. Profanity is a medieval concept - get the fuck over it.

  • I loved this review.I enjoyed your cursing.

  • Warner Brothers as a whole is a piece of shit company.

  • Early WB DVDs' are similar to WB Blu-Rays. They both start the movie automatically when you insert it.

  • i thought this was about the bladerunner dvd

  • this is more like the worst review ever...

  • The dvd didn't take away from the movie's awesomeness.

  • Gremlins had a bad DVD too

  • And it was also made by Warner Bros

  • DVDs were shit back then when it first came out. Now we have a standered One disk with cool shit and we have a two disk where the 2ed disk has amazing kick ass shit. Some times depending on the movie and care of the DVD we could have multidisk DVDs. The best DVD to ever be relesed is the four and a half hour version of The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King. It has the movie split into two and has two disk worth of cool shit.

  • The DVDs for Dracula (1992) and Philadelphia (1993) are worse.

  • How were the 'WillYouDoTheFandango' worse than that crap.I mean The Road Warrior is kinda cool and its put on a piece of crap DVD

so tell me how its worse.

Note: This is a question not a angry comment.

  • Twister was an amazing film come to think of it, why did the good films get shitty DVDs?

  • awesome!

  • A good example, but I've seen worse DVDs that are newer.....interesting

  • I have a lot a old movies that do the same thing as yours, Its not just Road Warrior.

  • my Road Warriors dosent do that

  • Ive got the same problem with the lost boys

  • WOW!! That's really fucked up! I have a few DVDs with the same problem that the movie starts right away but not that bad Main menu.

  • thats cause Road Warrior Sucks

  • Yeah, i've seen similar poor quality features on other dvd's (mostly just warner bros.). Also why does warner bros. put most of their dvd's in those cheap cardboard cases?

  • to old u idiot y u complain

  • they did it with goodfellas :( dont trust wb dvd's the cd is crap you have to flip it over half way frouth! godddd

i was so argry when i saw it lol

  • "Jump to a Scene" was crazy.

THANK GOD! There's still some good DVDs.

  • I had a Blade Runner dvd that had the same problem but thank god I don't have to have that crappy dvd anymore.

  • ya all the old batman movies and dumb and dumber have the main menu at the end problem(im not sure about the jump to a scene thing)

  • thats how harry potter movies are except they dont skip right to the movie

  • Funny as hell

  • Kick ass movie but bad DVD.

Bad movie+Bad DVD= Worst DVD ever. But I cant think of any terrible movies on bad DVDs. Not that i dont agree that this is a terrible DVD, I just think if you look realy really hard you'll find worse.

  • Great expose. Your VO commentary is classic. Good job man.

  • dude you are a retard...almost ALL old DVD's are like this. Big fucking deal that they don't have an interactive menu or a million special features. They were selling you a movie, not a pile of shitty swag that most people don't watch anyway. What is the big deal with the movie auto-playing?? You'd rather sit and watch 5 trailers and then hit your "play" button first? You are a douche-bag of the worst kind. Now bitch about your 15 year old VCR and how it auto-plays when you stick a tape in it..

  • All your vidos make me laugh dont stop makin em

  • LOL that review was so funny

  • No way the worst dvd ever had to be boondock saints its a great film but worst dvd of all time why well its a two disc dvd that has no special features ever Im not jokeing there there is nonething on the fucking second disc

  • excellent!!

  • LOL... fucked up logic xD

  • I had this problem with Total Recall, and Eraser, and those movies weren't exactly low budget movies.

  • de hecho que la primera edicion dvd de batman 1 de tim burton tambien era igual de inmundo que esos dos, que coincidencia que los tres pertenecen a la warner bros.

  • Doomsday definately ripped off of Road Warrior.

  • Excellent review!

  • in the begging the movie the menu is alien

  • i agree with you, i am waiting for a spical edition. but it taeking away to long. now i do not even care, but this one of the best movie.

  • boo hoo

    there no title screen

    or extra features

    grow a pair

  • this is the problem with kapitalism earn money and afterwards show the finger to the buyer if he complains

  • yeh blazing saddles is the same way as this one. but even it has a commentary and a background. oh and plus widescreen and fullscreen.

  • Hardly the worst DVD ever. Try out 'Bernard and the Genie'. Even the picture quality looks like VHS. But yes, these early Warner DVDs are rubbish. No one new that people would give a crap about special features in '97. Some BluRays are just as bad (no features etc) but actually that's worse as they now know that people buy expecting special features.

  • @GamerWho "Some BluRays are just as bad (no features etc)"

LOL I saw robocop on blu-ray and all it has is Robocop Trailer and Planet of the Apes trailer WHAT THE HELL?

  • This is the same thing that I have for the Cable Cuy and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles(the original movie).

  • Not in the single disk edition. All the extras are on the 2 disk edition as they always are, they never put loads of special features in the single disk edition.

  • i hav alot of movies like this :( like innocent blood has the wb logo in the bak

  • ive seen other DVD's just like this but ive seen them for stuff that is old and has been yanked to DVD from tape. . . it does piss me off that the movie just starts playing but, I have seen one with no menu at all. . . that one sucked. . . ass. . .

  • You should feel lucky! The U. K release doesn't have the trailer, though the menu is slightly better looking (I say slightly, because I always thought it looked tacky).

  • All the old school "snap case" WB DVDs were like that. Most notably one of my all time favorites- Enter the Dragon.

  • All the early WB DVDs are like that.

  • Isn't the worst dvd "Harry Potter & OTP"?

  • Yeah, not funny.

  • It is. There's no extra in OTP dvd.

  • i love all the swearing

  • I had a saving private ryan DVD and a bug's life that started right away. Always a mistake to me but at least they didn't have the adverts before it.

  • I lol'd.

  • lol that is a rubbish dvd

  • Wow welcome to every DVD ever in the 90's

  • wielkie odkrycie. u nas co drugi film na dvd jest taki.

  • I cried I was laughing so hard when you talked about the "film flash"

  • lol I've always loved your videos!!!

  • hahhahahahahhaha lol

all your videos are funny as hell!!!!!!!!!

  • pretty stupid video

  • bloody hell that dvd is bollocks

  • ooooh you want worse, try the old Laser Discs that were the precursor to the DVD. They were as large as a dinner plate and you had to flip them over to get the rest of the movie. I remember seeing some skating movie in elementary school, about fourth grade I believe, and the latest in technology was the laser disc.

  • You ever remember back then, when 3 or 4 movies would be released a month. Now 5 movies come out each week, and most of them would be shit. Now atleast 2/10 movies would be great, that's it. It was better back then when they took time and passion with the films, now its just a way to cash in, get our money.

  • LOL HAHA NICE ONE DUDE

  • k...

  • lol tak ethose shit dvds off the shelves!

  • My Goodfellas DVD Is The Same Way As Twister With The Cool Shit Part.

  • the worst ever dvd

  • why the fuck do you bleep out your cuss words, its unnecessary and its annoying. its not TV, you can put up videos with cuss words without having to bleep them

  • Well kids also go to this site so I think its neccisary.

  • That might be the worst dvd ever, but the most misleading was for the stupid horror movie Carnivore. on the box it says it has a trailer and delted scenes and stuff when in actuality it only has the movie and thats it. IT LIES

  • haha this is fucking hilarious dude

    5/5

  • Alien vs ...Hunter?WTF is that?

  • some messed up low budget(like a half million) rip off of Alien vs Predator made by the Asylum which is famous for its big budget rip offs such as transmorphers, the da vinci treasure, and my favorite, snakes on a train

  • HAHAAHA LOL MY dad rented Alien vs Hunter and after a couple minutes he was like FUCK THIS!

  • when r u going to make a part 2 for ur avp-r review!

  • I've got several DVDs afflicted by that awful DVD-making. Even Cool Hand Luke suffers it.

I don't mind production notes though. I understand that getting people together for interviews and such is often difficult and expensive so they can just have one guy who remembers things from the production write something. It's not perfect but it is completely tolerable.

  • seriously, what's up with those chapter numbers???!?!?!?!?!? great job on this exclusive expose, keep it up tmpc.

  • wuts "FUBAR"

i heard that word also in "Saving private ryan"

  • fucked up beyond all recognition

  • I've thought I've seen worse dvd's yes I am talking about Big Trouble in Little China atleast it dosn't go into the movie and some movies even do that with current DVD's jumping into the damn movie but even though the Mortal Kombat dvd's were bad atleast the main menu's were animated. Big Trouble in Little China had no animation or music in menu's but atleast had backgrounds but damn I hope Twister even get's remade into Blue Ray

  • Mel Gibson thanks you. Cool Sh*t!!!

  • This made me "lol" so fucking much. I loved those numbers in the chapter selections.

  • i've seen worse, but than again the movie (or whatever) itself 'sucks' so i guess you mean 'great movie, terrible dvd' got it.

say 1997? i remember that then DVDs were like $75-$100 right? i bought my first player in (i think) 2001-2002, why? because a fan fav animated show was going to be released! also the first DVD movies i ever bought were 'The phantom manace' and Batman beyond: Return of the Joker''

now i have so many i cant begin to count them. (some sets have 10 discs afterall!)

  • u must be bored shitless making worst DVD videos lol

  • wow... That's the saddest dvd ever

  • awesome i still got VCR so i dont gota worry about this dvd rofl

  • Actually, that Morgan Freeman Movie "Lean On Me" is actually worse. They have nothing except 2 options. Play Movie and Scene Selection. Im serial

  • Shame, good movie but horrible dvd!

  • whoa, the end slogan changed. when you said the worst DVD was Road Warrior, I was like "WHAT?!!! B.S.!!" Once you got in depth about the DVD features rather than the DVD film, you were right. that is one messed up scene selection.

  • AVH:Alien Vs Hunter........

WHAT THE F*CK!Do they have to Rip-Off every movie they see?

  • You came out with this video the day I received The Road Warrior in the mail from netflix. Coincidence? I watched it right away, incredible. I love post-apoc films and this by far is one of the best. I kind of get the feeling that the game Fallout is based on it, which makes it cooler.

  • Aw man, Twister got the shaft.

  • I dunno. The DVDs crap, but tere may be some worse ones. You make a good point, its not the movie that blows, its the features. And the scene selection things is pretty screwed up.

  • the beeping is more anoying than the cursing!

  • thank you for reminding me why i subscribed to this channel 8D

  • lame ass buttons lol

  • ha!

  • You're Brilliant! TY for your honest reviews love them!!

  • Good Review!! Keep up the good work!

  • omg! 1997? 26?

  • lllooooollll that sucks such an awesome kick ass movie in a crappy DVD >_>

  • LOL you are awesome! keep these videos coming!

  • lolz I love extras!

  • Another great review, nice to see you are not only doing preview reviews

  • and not only TRW and Twister are with this, a lot of fucking WB DVD's are with the same shit

  • lol too much beeps... it hurts my ears :'(

  • TWISTER HAS A MENU ON MY DVD

  • omg thats some typicly assy bull shit! how could they do that to road warrior! FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST! WHERE LOSING AWOSMENESS! HELP USS!!!!

  • worst dvd EVER lol i was laughiin for 5 min

  • 4:21 lol XD

  • EPIC FAIL the dvd!

  • lol that was some crap dvd

  • haha that is so elaborated

  • My Batman DVD has the same thing.

  • Is it the Animated batman? If so then same here.

  • wtf is alien vs hunter???

has hollywood completelly suckd the life out of that franchise... seriousally. the last good alien movie they made was in the 1980's... or somthing like that.

i wish hollywood would stick to their guns and do classic franchises the same f*cking style instead of trying 2 appeal to other audiences (both AVP's culd of been ALOT better)...

IF HOLLYWOOD IS READING THIS... GUESS WHAT???

    YOUR SHITTY MONEY-MAKING-MOVIES ARE BULLSHIT!

    BRING BACK THE CLASSICS!

  • you mean do remakes?

  • I think he means to stick to the awesomness with already established universes unless they are better than the originals.

  • Alien vs Hunter is made by a studio that spoofs good movies. It has nothing to do with the Avp franchise..and I do agree with everything u said!!

  • so funny xD
