  • i used my at 35000 rpm and eventually the bit broke but i think beacouse it was to much heat buy i have removed grout from 2-3 squre meters

  • my attempt to remove floor tile grout with a dremel 200 and the tiny bit supplied with the grout removal kit was a horrible experience. 10 minutes of labor removed about 5 inches of grout and left my dremel unit smoking. there must be a better way.

  • We're glad you didn't return it. Everyone's experiences are different and we're thrilled yours was a positive one.

  • i was gonna return my series 300 dremel tool after reading all of these posts. i gotta be honest, i'm glad i didn't return it, it worked out great... series 300 dremel with a 570 bit...nice and easy

  • just bought a dremel about an hour ago to do this grout removal. i guess after what i'm reading here, i'll be returning it...thanks for the input

  • the glaze on glazed ceramic tile will ping off..therefore useless..the time taken to do a whole bathroom/showerroom at that speed..c,mon think bout it..

  • I bought the Nikota rotary tool with the flexible attachment and the hanger stand and it is a much better tool than the dremel could ever hope to be.

  • I had a dremel tool and bought the grout attachment. One bit broke so I bought another. Than the machine overheated and that was the end of my dremel tool. For a short time I had it on the wrong speed but most of the time it was on the right speed.I think what happened is the grout on the surface was 1/8 wide but underneath the tile was closer so I was actually grinding tile with the tool. At any rate I then used a hand tool it worked just fine.

  • DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS MACHINE IF YOUR GROUT JOINT IS SMALLER THAN 1/8. BITS BRAKE PRETTY EASY (they just dont wear as they say), AND THEY COST $10 to $15.

  • Thanks. If one bit can't do a shower what's the use? For the 1/8 space should i use those claw-like hand tools with the sharp point? Are they called grout removers?
