I usually have 5 hearts doing this dungeon, because at the start I get bombs then bomb that 1 wall in that beach area with the leevers to get a heart container then go up a few screens and bomb another rock to get another heart. Then, I get my white sword, forge 250 rupees, buy the blue ring, get a candle, and THEN I do level 1.

You can't do a swordless run of this game. Because only the sword and magic rod can kill Gleeok, and in this game you don't get the rod until AFTER Gleeok.

@lumberjum555 There are 3 triforces, wisdom, courage and power. In ocarina you amalgamate the three triforces. In this game, Zelda has shattered the Triforce of Courage (or is it wisdom?) into 8 pieces. You are reconstructing it from those pieces.

You know how this game has those watches that can freeze all the enemies on-screen in place, giving you free shots to kill them?

Hey, Ocarina is also my first 3-heart run. I'm playing a 3-heart, shieldless, no fairy upgrades (except for Spin Attack) run of Ocarina of Time 3D Master Quest right now and it's an absolute blast, and very challenging. I've caught the bug too, so I'm looking around to try and decide which Zelda I should 3-heart run next, and I ended up finding this. I've watched your other LPs, but never this one. @ZGuy0fSci That's because we avoided them like the plague, Nintendo respects a gamer's time by having a monster that grabs you from the end of the dungeon and takes you back to the beginning lol.

There's a similar "hand shaped" monster in Twilight Princess, but it's much creepier. It's all dark and shadow'ey and creepy music plays as it slowly reaches for your balls. Disturbing stuff. Not sure what it is called, but if the ones in Zelda 1 are "Wall Masters", I vote for "Ball Masters"

Because it was a symbol of good luck for quite a long time in quite a few cultures before a certain failed german artist decided it looked cool.

The pentagram suffered a similar fate--a bunch of silly "satanists" in the mid 70s decided it looked cool and...bam.

Putting swastika stickers on the suitcases of friends who are moving away is still a common practice in India--I imagine it scares the hell out of movers in America.

Actually it's pretty much the same in many areas...I mean, if you'll notice, the level 3 zelda map...all it needs is a slight tweak to the right to make it for Der Fuhrer. X D.

Anyway, my only point is that there's no distinctive "Nazi version" swastika and "good version" swastika difference. Again....it's like the pentagram--upside down and rightside up, but both were culturally significant before a few assholes came along.

This is why all games should have a saving system similar to Zelda or Pokemon, as in you can save anywhere, whenever. That's the reason I could never play games like Oblivion, because of the time commitment needed and, well, it wasn't my type of a game I would prefer.
