can anybody tell me how on earth do I open the rather tight back of the smart guide... not so smart if one can't access it... duh!

I just love this toothbrush! I got mine for about 2 years ago. And every time I brush my teeth it's like I'm coming to heaven. My dentist loves my teeth and I keep on brushing all day long!

you are a tool. why don't you learn a little about what it is you are unboxing before you start unboxing it for youtube? that monitor is the smart guide which you could have read the box to figure that out. And where can you get this thing for $35 I will take 100 of them

what exactly is the monitor for?

The monitor tell you which part of your mouth you should be brushing at the moment. I haven't really used it yet so I'll have to decide if it's really worth using.

The tooth brush its self seems like a very nice package! so it should make teeth brushing fun :D
