Forgive my ignorance....Is this a visible light image, or is it taken through a narrow bandpass filter of some sort, or is it perhaps even non-visible light such as UV or Xrays? How do they avoid the extreme brightness of the sun from swamping the image with lens flare?
Unlike the earth the sun does not have a constant north and south pole the earth rotates around the sun but the sun floats around on a course around and threw other galaxies most of its still theory but during solar flares there is a build up ever I think its close to 11 years in wich the sun goes through a full tilt change but now you have a starting point I recomend reading and getting a more Detailed discription then just going by my fading memory on the topic.

It's either the satellite reorienting itself for it's antenna to Earth or the footage was edited.
If the sun did rotate in relatively sudden bursts with abrupt and complete starts and stops, it would be a sign that we're living in a digital world.
Otherwise, like I said, we're just seeing the Sun through digital eyes. Do not look directly at the Sun!

MXpsycho, there is a god. It is proven that there is. There had to be something before something else. It's basic science. But we don't exactly know who or what god is, but that there is one. But you are right about people blaming god for their problems. So pretty much there is no such thing as a god that controls your life.
