I have a 9 month old kitten also with three legs. She is missing the same back left leg like your kitty. She also has a sort of "stub" and hobbles around just like that. Her name is Kaylee. I got her from a PetSmart from a litter of 5 kittens. I chose her first. She was born with her umbilical cord wrapped around her leg, causing it to not finish developing in the womb. So they amputated it when she was born.

aww so adorable. i took in a stray cat in june and she ended up being pregnant. she left one day then came back three days later with a 3legged calico baby. shes about a month old now and shes a handful. even with three legs she crawls on my legs and she runs all the time lol

The kitties sure are cute! I too have a three-legged kitten. His name is Ernest (after the late Jim Varney character). He's about 4 months old. Got him at the shelter. He came in with a chewed up leg that got badly infected. They had to remove his leg all the way to the hip socket. But it does not slow him down! As he grows, his one hind leg is gaining strength and compensating for the loss. It's funny, I don't really even think about the missing leg, and I know he doesn't!

I played it for her several times and she kept trying to walk on the keyboard to get closer to the screen. Peggy Sue looks just like your kitty, but she is missing her right hind foot, not her left.

With the last little bit of video at the end of the film, the kitten tries to put hit pawless leg down and it just looks like its hurting him.. Did you get a vet to look at it?

It could be cancer or something if its that young a kitten..

Anyways, He is ABSOLUTELY adorable and I am glad he was saved. I'm just worried with the tender foot.

But it's sad that the cat only has three legs. But cats have really great balance because of their tails. That's how they balance on fences. They stick their tails into the air. They wouldn't be able to do it if not. I added this to my favourites. Nice music too. What that ever your cat?? Aweee three-legged kitty is so cute. It reminds me of my cat whose leg was broken when she fell of out the window. She never got her leg mended (we didn't have the money and other option was to amputate) so she adapted to it. She's learned to sit/stand on her hindlegs and she's developed incredible balance. :)

Most times animals don't notice much if they are missing a limb. My do Ginger lost her leg to a car when she was a little under a year old and she is just as active as any other dog.
