I stopped counting my best at 38 skips....it went out of range. I have 1000 throws over 30 skips. I can only guestimate my best ever at 50+ skips and 150+ yards. I actually had Seagulls chasing the stone as it skipped---they thought it was a fish of some kind. Castle Island, South Boston Mass. Circa 1970-85. True story. Rock Skip Champion of The World.

I got 33 when I was about 10 years old, but mine went 3 times further than his.... but I didn't really count the rock surfing at the end as 20 or so skips, I just stoped counting when the rock started to surf; I guess guiness has special cameras to watch the microscopic skips at the end... if you can count them as skips, I don't
