@Sinderking actually yes, any reflective surface can be used for scrying (water for instance etc). Some use fire to do scrying as well. I would suggest that if you do choose to use a regular mirror that you cleanse it and bless it first.

I've used a regular dresser mirror (3 feet by 5 feet) for scrying with great results. As for my black mirrors, i keep them covered in cloth. You can try making a larger black mirror if you want, I'd love to but don't have the space at the moment :) You can keep it in its own housing if you have the space. Mine are just wrapped in black velet.
I know its better for the envioment but for some reason regular paints and craft paints bother my skin. Even with gloves I manage to get it one me! LOL

Hi, I am an art student and needed mirrors for a project. The scrying mirror worked well and saved me a lot of money. It also looked much better. Blue light works wonderful on a black mirrow. Thank you for your help. If I can get my hands on a globe I would like to try that.
a blue glass/crystal bowl works best in my opinion. it needs to be infused with the power of the east wind and pure well/stream water. and you'll need to use that same water source to fill it up. it might be hard to make but it will never show a false futre. only bad thing is that you must matain constant meditative state while using it. otherwise it will show you what it wants to see not what you want.
The only scrying mirrors I've used have always been black. However, any reflective surface should work. I've used polished obsideon (but it was black) with great results. I have no idea of your power of 'seeing' but I can see alot of little things all the time, as well as large really creepy ugly things. I have seen things come in and out of mirrors, i've also seen spirits struggle to get out, until some human touches the mirror. This releses energy into the mirror, just enough for the struggling spirit to come out..I have seen about 50 or so different spirits come out of mirrors, believe it or not, its true.

When I made my black mirror, I used black spray paint, clovers quickly and evenly, one coat. PS: I was only buggen about the one book thing, I have several, but I also have small -scrapish type notebook size ones as well. Its not size or Quantity, it's Quality of content right :)?

Do you only use small mirrors for scrying?
Have you tried much larger mirrors like say a few feet across? Are you doing any evocations?
Do you keep the mirrors in complete darkness and in their own dedicated housing?

I didn't say I didn't believe, I said some ppl don't believe in such things. I guess my black mirrors are very well protected as I haven't experienced such negativity coming through ;)

whether one belives in evil entities or not does not take from the 'fact' that they ARE real. Some of us, like myself can see them. Some can not. Either way belief in them is not required for them to exsist. matter of fact it helps their cause if you don't believe in them...its only the biggest lie ever told "The 'Devil' Convincing the world he doesn't exsist"

When I made my black mirror, I used black spray paint, clovers quickly and evenly, one coat. PS: I was only buggen about the one book thing, I have several, but I also have small -scrapish type notebook size ones as well. Its not size or Quantity, it's Quality of content right :)?

exactly rob, it's definately quality that counts, not quantity...in some cases size doesn't matter,,,and in other cases, it does matter lol :P haha sorry, just being cheeky. Have a good one.

Glad y'all enjoyed it :) The round globe is so near & dear 2 my heart (as I said in the vid, inherited it from my Auntie). I have yet to find any other globes that are similar. Maybe if one dismantled a snowglobe? Anyways, hope you keep me informed on how it works out for ya! Much love, )O(

What is also good to use is the glass domed face from a cheap-y wall clock, if you paint the convex bit. I love the snow-globe idea. I shall be looking out for one of those! Bright blessings
