@acfilmer96 the fisheye, as a ultrawide lens, has a very large depth of focus. just stop it down a little and almost everything should be in focus, if it is not, the mount made for your camera may not be the right thickness. you will also lose a lot of the distortion effect with a sensor smaller than 35mm (full frame).
@acfilmer96 that camera is 1.5x crop sensor, you won't get as wide with it. Outside of that the mount for it needs to be precise to maintain focus at infinity, make sure your mount is correct for your camera, you may need to mess with the back focus distance within the lens to get it right.
the zenitar 16mm is designed to have the fisheye effect on 35mm sensors...it won't have the same effect on smaller sensors. this video was actually slightly cropped..
@ArnoldVeeman as mentioned before, lens is designed for 35mm full frame bodies, the gh1 has a smaller sensor and may enjoy some distortion but will not get nearly as wide. if you have a crop sensor, the samyang and peleng fisheyes may be your only ultrawide alternative options that won't kill your wallet.
how would this do on a sony nex 5 considering it has a full size sensor and everything.

will it have the same effect on canon 500d???
antonast1 2 years ago
i wouldn't be as wide, but still can have nice effects.
search around for this lens on a 7d.
the 7d has the same size sensor as the 500d. it'll give you an idea of what the end result will look like.
