  • Can someone explain why I always get very fine vertical lines directly over the center of my eye in one of my lenses every time they are made? Nobody ever gives a good explaination and resolves the issue. I figured it is in the grinding method but can you explain more? These lines become more exaggerated over time causing me to have to get new lenses again.

  • @jslagg its generally from the edger chucking mechanism. Too much pressure is applied and the coating "crazes" (like crazy with an -es on the end instead of the y). The coating is about as thick as an inch of snow on a 84 story building (very thin). If the lens is flexed the coating stretches and cracks. Crazing is generally not the wearers fault. You should take them back where you got them. This should not be something you have to live with.

  • High-index 1.67 lenses appr. -8.75 prescription. I believe vanity brand from nassau.
