I am gonna miss the old Playstation 3 logo with the Spiderman font. Even though the PS3 slim is sexy, it will never be as sexy is its older brother. Even though I have a Phat PS3, I will miss seeing other fat PS3s in the stores. It is weird I know, but it is this strange feeling I am having inside. The good side is that I think this price drop will thrust Sony in second place in this generation. I will start crying tears of joy if PS3 beat the Wii this generation, but the chances are low.

As a a gamer, I didn't see the $600 price tag for a awesome system with no so awesome games (my opinion anyway) to be good for my wallet. The 360 had a better line up of games for me personally and that price was right. But with the Slim coming, and some nice looking games coming out, along with a few niche games I'm looking at, PS3 is certainly on my horizon.

the slim has a smaller cpu tho (with same power) so it gives off less heat.sony said that the internal cooling has been completley redesigned and of course it has been tested. i doubt it will over heat. its 34% more efficient thn the launch ps3 aswell
