When you give a presentation about kill/cures for H. Pylori GET TO THE POINT IMMEDIATELY and list them. THEN go into depth. Most people that have this have looked up everything about it, tried things, and want to know what else. Making most of us sit through it all first is a big deterrent to find out at all. Those that want to know ALL ABOUT IT should be directed to another presentation by you for that purpose.
I've had an ulcer for 3 years, I suffered heart board and I don't know how erectile dysfunction was connected into it. I stopped the medication after I had suffered allergy from the medication. But now I had minimized the symptoms after I drink BANABA Tea. I recommend that Banaba for those who got Ulcer or sexual problem.
Mr Hompes, do you know of any product that can heal the stomach lining effectively and also a product that can strengthen the Lower Esophageal Sphincter? I have chronic gastritis and acid reflux with reflux esophagitis. I always have this feeling of food stuck at my throat and this sour feeling or taste in my chest and stomach. Is there anything that you know is good that really helps?
my wife use to have debilitating heartburn. she couldnt eat any spicy food without having terrible stomach pain. I researched the causes of stomach problems and came to the conclusion she might have h-pylori. anyhow i bought her Solaray brand 500mg mastic gum pills. after one bottle she has been completely cured of her stomach problems. may be worth a try before using pharmacuticals which do have a history of destroying livers and kidneys.
@javelin005 I used mastic gum and it has destroyed my life.I am in a worst position now than before. I do not believe that people should continue to use this product since what happened to me can happen to anyone. At least with pharmaceuticals they are put through trials and the side effects are generally known to ppl but with Mastic and other herbal product persons do not have the access to info on side effects since they are not FDA approved or by any other authority.
@javelin005 By the way did your wife take it on an empty stomach? The brand I used jarrow's instructed to take it on an empty stomach before breakfast and I followed the directions. The stuff eventually caused me a great deal of stomach pain and it has harmed my liver and possibly my kidneys because now i am having problems with my urinary tract and my stomach is extremely sore and tender. Things I used to eat before I now can no longer eat. I have this sour taste in my stomach/ throat now.
@Yneekas i have a feeling you had an alergic reaction to the stuff. my wife took the stuff like it said on the bottle as a supplement daily. never had any problems and here debilitating stomach pain has never returned. you run the risk of injury anytime you ingest herbs or medicines. i have a friend who has ruined kidneys cause they gave him cholesteral lowering meds that did not agree with him. his life is ruined.
@javelin005 Did her directions say to take it before or after meals? The one I used said to take it before breakfast which is on an empty stomach and I keep wondering if that was largely responsible for the reaction I had , because I usually take meds after meals and not before.
@Yneekas -it was 2- 500mg 1 hour before breakfast. Sorry to hear they hurt you. I am positive yours was a bad reaction. it may be toxic to you in any form. remember we all react differently to herbs and meds. i am alergic to some weird mediteranian nut. a friend gave me a bite and my mouth went numb, i spit that stuff out fast as i felt the reaction comming on.
@javelin005 Yes the brand i used had those same directions. However it made my gastritis worst. It did in fact kill the h pylori but it did some harm to my stomach lining, liver and possibly my kidneys because since then I have been having these recurrent urinary tract infections among other pains and aches that I have not had before. So that's why I think that the product shouldn't be used because it is a possibility that it can harm others. I never had any negative reaction to antibiotics.
@javelin005 I am just thinking that i should have tried the triple therapy again, before resorting to anything else. I had done the triple therrapy once before. I had h pylori infection for 4 years before I got rid of it just this year. I am battling with the worsened condition that mastic gum left my stomach in. My stomach is really tender and painful and sour now. Before mastic gum i just used to get some slight burning or gnawing in the stomach, but now it is actual pain.
Hey dave my H Pylori blood test came back positive and the result was 2.2 U/mL now the question is what does this means? as my doc did not explained what this meant and what strain it was he just told me it was positive so i am assuming he doesn'tknow either, i did the triple therpy and after 8 weeks my symptoms were back just order some mastic gum so going to try that for atleast 3 months. Those antibiotic made me feel horrible it made me felt worst than the bacteria i was actually treatiing.
Most things are toxic to the liver. That is why the liver is there! Compounds found in vegetables are toxic. Compounds found in meat can be toxic. Polyunsatured oils can be toxic. Each person is unique and so what can be hugely beneficial for one person can cause damage to another. We do not work with any of our clients with pre-conceived ideas. The only way to know whether something is of benefit or not is to try it.
Dave, good video! Just a quick question... What symptoms were you suffering with before you took the Matula stuff? I get Acid Reflux and have Gastritis and this causes headaches and other sensations occasionally that are annoying. I have been using Slippery Elm which has helped me massively but last week I felt so good (basically normal) and I decided to have some of the foods I normally avoid and I have now gone back over slightly. Are you cured now?
@dirtbikemike69 Yeah, it definitely sound like it. I bought Dave's book and he has some ok things to say. But he has some ridiculous advises too like never to eat fruit alone; this is hogwash because food will rot and ferment in the stomach/intestines if fruit is mixed with other foods like meat, grains, etc. The fact is, Mastic Gum is a lot cheaper than Dave makes it out to be and is certainly cheaper than Matula. Paying $200 + shipping for tea is pretty ridiculous.
@HrapovikPlush the reason for the advice in the book regarding fruit is based on the assmuption that many people with digestive problems have candida overgrowth and so fruit itself will cause some fermentation. Also, many people have a very hard time with sugar instability. Eating fruit alone will cause problems for them. Remember that people who are unwell can't process foods in the same way as those who are healthy.
Food will not rot in the gut at all as long as the person optimises levels of HCL and digestive enzyme levels, gallbladder function, etc. As far as "hogwash", the info in my book is based on hundreds of case studies working with people on a one to one basis. where does your experience come from? Reading other books?
@davehompes If you eat protein foods like chicken and fish, and then follow it up with some fruit, a chemical reaction occurs. The fruit will ferment on top of the protein and fructose + protein will cause fermentation. Any good source on proper food combining will verify this. Fruit must be eaten on its own. Look up any food combining chart online. Never mix fruit with other foods, especially protein or fats.
Finally, as far as Matula is concerned, I used Mastic Gum and it did nothing for me whatsoever. Other people have great success with Mastic, but they need to use it for 60-90 days generally, so the cost creeps up. I haven't found a retailer of mastic who is prepared to issue a refund if it doesn't work. The Matula company offers a refund if their product does not work, so there is no risk financially in trying it.
@davehompes I dont doubt that Matula workse great, but to pay $200 for TEA is ridiculous. I don't know what Mastic Gum you were speaking of that costs MORE than Matula, but I see $15 bottles of Mastic Gum on Amazon.
@iraqibodybuilder I recommend that you read "Why Stomach Acid Is Good For You" by Dr Jonathan Wright, MD. You'll then understand why using Nexium long-term is disastrous. But using it short term while you address the reasons why you have GERD, should be ok.
Blastocystis hominis can be tough to get rid of. It may need antibiotics and also a strong herbal protocol. The protocol is too detailed to post on here, but I used GI Microb-X, Amazon AP and AP Mag as supplements.
I don't really like it when people 'diss' things like Mastic gum just based on their own experiences. Whilst any food, drug or herb can cause a problem in someone, it can also be beneficial to someone else. It's ok to say "this product did not work for me' but don't warn people off something that may benefit them. Mastic gum works great for some people. Period.
@davehompes Mastic gum may work but the fact is it is toxic and has destroyed my life. It can cause the same problem for others so in my opinion it is not worth the risk.
Guys, coconut oil doesn't work for many people, otherwise all those people I work with who already use coconut oil would not have H pylori...yet they do. What you have to remember is that everyone is different and that's why triple therapy works for some people but not others. Also, there are many different strains of H pylori and so the same natural product or drug may not work in everyone.
Great video. So for h pylori your product advise sounds good. You mention on your site that you had b hominis infection too. How did you get rid of that? Thanks Dave
Coconut oil doesn't work. Monolaurin may work. Anything you take has the potential to cause problems. If you have an ulcer, taking HCl ain't a good idea.
I have tried mastic gum and I had some adverse reactions to it. It tore my insides up with this extremely burning sensation and it caused my stool to harden so I had real trouble passing stool which in itself was excruciating. I had to see a doctor who gave me laxatives. I won't advice anyone to use this mastic gum product period. I had to dump the rest of the bottle.
That won't eradicate H pylori though, right? So if H pylori is causing the problems, making those changes won't help. However, if the smoking is part of the problem, then I'm sure it will ( I don't smoke so I don't know!).
Dave.. Maybe an idea for new videos... Don't spend 5 or more minutes talking before anwsering the question. I waited 5 minutes in one video just for an anwser to the question you posed: What foods should you avoid?.. The anwser never came. Can't you just say: Take ABCFKNOP don't take: DEGHIJLMQ (letter is food)
Don't waste your time withb honey and B propolis as they are completely unproven. Honey encourages candida overgrowth which is common alongside H pylori.
Mastic Gum, DGL, zinc-l-carnosine, garlic extract, bisumth and Matula Herbal Formula are the best products to take (brand names: Gastromend HP, Allicillin, BIo HPF and Matula Herbal Formula)
Go to my website and look at the case histories and testimonials section for evidence that these work
H pylori is asymptomatic in 70% people. That means you can have it and not have any symptoms. but it always causes inflammation and inflammation is a known cause of cancer and heart disease, so even when there are not symptoms, in my opinion it should be treated.
Honey and B propolis have been shown to effective in vitro but very ineffective in vitro. My hypothesis is because h pylori is inside the mucous membrane of the stomach and safe.
