Both my .22's will beat that. One isn't designated as a .22 though, but has a muzzle velocity of 3100 fps. The other is...but has a muzzle velocity of 4100 fps.
try the cci subsonic. the cci subs are a bigger hollow point and are very very accurate. remington subs suck. do a review between the two cci and rem subs.
I tried some of the subsonics because they were so cheap. I found out why they are so cheap. Out of about 20 rounds I had several misfires and one round didn't even go off until I shot it again.
@greenspiraldragon sub-sonic .22 rounds are usually meant to be fired out of a bolt action or single-shot rifle/pistol in blow-back actions the pressures are usually too low to reliable cycle.
@greenspiraldragon oh, ok, Well unless the hammer is a little light, then maybe it was the ammo. what brand were you using? I have to say that not all sub-sonics are crap. variables such as the type of gun, ammo manufacture, how the ammo was stored, etc could affect ignition. I had a guy tell me one time that he had 100's out of a brick, (1000 rounds), of American Eagles LR's miss-fire or not go off. Personally I've never had a problem with them and at $30CDN a Brick, that's a lot of shooting.
CCI Stingers are my favorite .22 round. I can hit a target at 150 yards over and over with stingers. Plus, they are noticeably louder than standard loads.
i picked up my marlin 70 PSS a few hours ago, talked to the guy running an FFL out of his home, nice guy, deals with Davidson's and Cheaper Than Dirt, lowest prices. i was talking with him on 22lr ammo, he says anything but remington for 22lr. CTD has a CZ Skorpian for about $600, looks like something for x-mas...
on an unrelated note would you be willing to get into some bf2? Me and a group of friends are getting into it for fun and i'm sure we could benefit from your knowledge if you're up for a bit of fun
@LeftRightCenter I haven't played BF2 in SO long. I probably have forgotten my keyboard layout. I was getting very good as an assault sniper. (snipe, then pop them again with a pistol)
i'm picking up a marlin papoose tomorrow after work, supposed to be better than a ruger 10/22, marlin recommends high speed rounds, i'm hoping i can kill some squirrels with colibris around the house with it.
those stingers are a great round, they almost feel like a magnum compared to a regular 22 LR. the silver shell casing adds a touch of class to them too, lol.
@0adireita We filmed so much on saturday that I have a lot of material to work with. I've been trying to delay how many new videos I upload a day. I have several more ready to go.
@TheHiddenPart I was bummed I couldn't at least get the subsonic bullet to show up. Usually those are easy. I agree, had we shot 50 yards or so the speed differences would have been more obvious.

Those stingers are great.
I've had them expand to nearly .38 caliber.

cool. but do this mean that it's not smart to train with the cheap one when you are shooting with stinger's or thuder in competisons?
spraylim 1 year ago
i shoot both too and the stingers are much cooler ^^

will it hurt my gun at all if i use stingers? i have a Remington 552
xox945 1 year ago
@xox945 not "hurt" it but it could cause plenty of jams since stinger cases are longer than the rest.

@007tallguy They are nice rounds. I wish they weren't so expensive. I've only shot
about half of the box.

you should do a comparison between cci cb's (710 fps) and stingers. to hell with that. do a comparison between cci cb's and a 22-250!

you can barely notice the difference... but if you were to go, say, 50 yards, the difference would be really immense in slow motion.
