If anyone's interested - the outside video was filmed at Brimham Rocks and Fountains Abbey in North Yorkshire, England. Both are worth a visit on their on right, but even better knowing that OMD's video was shot there!

I'm proud to have almost all official material by OMD...and there's no extended version of 'maid of orleans' on any record....sorry, but I don't think that this is a real omd production... if you listen carefully, you can hear that parts of the 7"-version are only mixed or repeated...

It's all just MUSIC!!! every decade has had it's cover artists I'm 41 going on 17 If only 1 person somewhere likes it. Then that's a good thing. This song is 1 of my all time favourites along with about a 1000 others!!! From songs by Iron Maiden to a good old church hymn. It is somethiing to complement your emotions MUSIC IS MUSIC!!!!

No one... thats a HUGE issue for me. Today its all about sex, crap (i mean rap) drugs and hate... no one puts thoughts on paper that mean something & puts REAL MUSIC as accompanyment. PS...I have often wondered why this tune has never been played at the Edinburgh Tattoo??. Can you imagine the pipes and drums playing this?...For me it would be the highlight. That is if you are into that sort of thing...Just dreaming!! lol
