  • i like this song. i don't have a distint memory of hearing it in 1988 though.

this was way better than jacko's "dirty diana" that was so overpromoted and doofy but out around the same time. i always liked jermaine stewart's happy songs.

this is a song for happy young guys or kids in contrast to white rap and grunge crap where the weirdos act like their simple thoughts and music are so "serious and deep " while making their stupid little music.

  • @The096757

i meant tO write DISTINCT MEMORY

  • forgotten artist, had so many good songs, always makes me smile, and as for his sexuality, who the fuck cares!

  • Y'all need to get it right. Jermaine Stewart died of AIDS-related liver cancer on March 17, 1997 at age 39. STOP ASSUMING just cuz he contracted aids. He was a great talent and the world is a better place because he was here!

  • @fatgirlsneedluv2 exactly, plus he said in an interview he liked belinda carlisle, nuff said lol

  • @fatgirlsneedluv2 I miss this type of voice and talent ...

  • @fatgirlsneedluv2 He would've been 54 this year.

  • @fatgirlsneedluv2 I have to agree with you, some much hate still in this world.. my secret to you... i listened to him in the past also and loved his music.. this kind of music not permitted for me to listen but i have ears and they were open to music quietly and secretly.. shhhhhhhhh... take care.. Princess Iman( Saudi Arabia).. bless you for your king heart

  • @fatgirlsneedluv2 I agree.

  • @fatgirlsneedluv2 You are right!

  • @fatgirlsneedluv2 .......AMEN U SAID THAT...

  • He looks a bit like Rihanna.

  • I used to think the girl dancing around him was hot....still do, she got a nice gap. I wonder what she looks like now. Probably fat and has nine kids. At least she will always be hot on this vid.

  • wish we cud bring bk the 80's :)

  • What a talent he was. I love that part at 1:00 how he repeated "I Love You" twice as the Chrous and that bassline came in. Such a small thing that I remember capturing me so much as a kid! I would rewind that 5 second bit over and over an over lol

Will always love my man Jermaine RIP!

  • @mrhoffame Yea it's amazing, but you know where i'll rewind to and play again and again and again in the song?

Right here: 1:30 - 1:41 & 2:09 - 2:21 ....his voice is really doing it here, cause this is simply the best and most beautiful in this greatest song by Jermaine Stewart!

A thing that also i, remember as a child ....with lots of memories! :D

  • MI FAV VIDEO CUZIN WILLIAM DID

  • Love his face at 19 seconds . . . its like "ahhhh, so gooood"!!!

  • whatever he was doesnt matter he was a great entertainer, point blank

  • one of the best dresser i ever seen

  • Anyone that doesn't like this song is crazy seriously..

    Sang it Jermaine!!!!

  • One of best song of out time 80s.

  • who is the girl in his videos love her and keep it real doesn't matter if someone is gay or straight long as their music is tight. Hell half the entertainment world is in the closet anyway.

  • Wow! I wonder what songs he would be singing if he were still alive making music. I would be buying a tell ya that much! RIP Jermaine.

  • I didn't know he has died my fav song was Don't talk dirty to me! Aids still kill don't forget!!!

  • just a word, listen to the music and leave all the hate and spite behind. one life one chance to get it right.

  • @mharrision: listen up you bobble headed retard, the bible was written by various priest, or men of the cloth which ever you like, and these so called priest? were more then likely taking it up the ASS to, so maybe you shouldn't take the bible so literally. and to all those so called wanna-be Christians who are cursing and berating those who disagree with you-job well done-you just proved why some or most don't take your religious babble serious. You're hypocrites, the devil in disguise-F OFF!

  • kind of dances like Gene Anthony Ray and dresses like Terence Trent D'arby. Love this man and his style.

  • Yeah, dude was a good singer. Let him rest in peace. If he'd wanted people to know what he was or wasn't, he would have *told* us, but he didn't so it's none of our business.

  • Lol, MJ copied this style

  • @TheEmoTrinityXXX ..completely agree with u ..mj straight his hair and started wearing that same white shirt around 2002-2005 ..just like the one jermaine is wearing in this video.

  • FAGS CANT ENTER THE KINGDOM EITHER!!

  • @netscorcher25 nor can self righteous hateful and unforgiving people like you the hell that you send someone to will be where you find yourself one day and when you get there look to your left and right I am sure that you will be surrounded by self righteous people like yourself ........ you should be ashamed of yourself and all of the poison that you spew

  • @ShannonDWS i'm glad i am not in your shoes for judging such a precious man like michael jackson (by media LIES, there was a whole business around him brainwashing/ training children to lie about him, just to get his money) when it is judgement day and we all have to appear before god

  • @mharrison9 The New Exodus verse 24 - those who are homophobes, will not inherit the kingdom. It is better that a millstone is hung around their neck and that they will be thrown into the sea so that they will not deceive the children anymore.

  • @secondbible first off the bible was written by various priest, who by the way... were more then likely getting fucked up the ass to, so maybe you should learn how to think for your own fucking ass, instead of repeating what others say. Don't be a sheep, or a bobble head and learn how to comprehend, analyze the information you take in, on your own. Stop being so damn lazy and stupid! Think retard, Think! Do you really think god came down and wrote the damn bible his or her self? do you? Think!

  • @24loloolee you are on a channel promoting jermaine stewart, and michael jackson was mentioned in the same line, so you can expect that when some religious bigots attack them, some will stand up to do a counter-attack to defend them. religious freedom is all fine, until it becomes racism/ sexism, and that was already the point. nature and spirit has it's own justice system, there is some order on the road for this.

  • @24loloolee and what you assume about me is false. i wasn't quoting from the first bible, but from the second bible, which is rather the opposite, and which was a reply to someone who started quoting from the first bible to jermaine stewart. the first bible is a criminal/ racistic book.

  • @Ellasings7 And why would you be a nasty racistic bigot on such a precious and talented man? Now THAT is so sad. love has no gender, and homophobes can't enter the kingdom of God, because it is not based on if someone has some outward charisteristics yes or no.

  • A wonderful talent, indeed! RIP, Jermaine Stewart.

  • Who cares about his sexual preference. He was very talented & he is not & will not be the last gay entertainer. R I P Jermaine Stewart.

  • R.I.P. Jermaine Stewart, 5*****

  • who was first him or michael jackson in the 80's

  • Can anyone tell me what kind of shoes he's wearing at beginning? :D

    R.I.P Jermaine Stewart.... you made this song here one of my ALL'TIME FAVORITES!!!!!!!! (-';

  • hey so it was him who sang this huh.. can't help but think abt the 90's... memoriessssssssssssssssssssss ;(

  • i heard this guy died of AIDS?

  • love the feel of this song not to fast or to slow just right

  • Betty Wright performed this song too. I don't know which one was first - I think Betty was the first and Jermaine was a remake. Am I wrong?

  • all you sad homophobes out there get a fuckin life and grow up life is too short ok

  • William Jermaine Stewart (September 7, 1957 – March 17, 1997) was an American pop singer best known for his Billboard hits "The Word Is Out" (from his 1984 debut album of the same name) and "We Don't Have to Take Our Clothes Off" (in 1986, from the album Frantic Romantic).

  • Why is everybody arguing about the man's sexuality, it doesn't matter since he's been dead for 14 years now. SHUT THE FUCK UP AND ENJOY THE SONG!!!

  • @larrybfresh20 He was gay dude, he died from HIV Aids that he got from his gay partner. I am not arguing as it will make you mad so just dont reply

  • @BeatTheSystemR1 OH SO IT IS TRUE HE DIED OF HIV THATS THE REASON FOR HIS NUMBER ONE HIT THAT REALY MADE HIM RICH AND VERY WEALTHY

  • @larrybfresh20 Thank you!

  • @larrybfresh20 God bless you.

  • @larrybfresh20 by the way have you noticed the ones who are the most homophobic are the ones who are afraid of coming out.

  • when you love somebody do not alway show you need to tell them again and again.

  • u might think im weird but hes kinda hot......

  • @wizardcats360 I could not agree more.

  • it's been YEARS since I've heard this song! This definitely stirs up memories of being a kid! Songs just aren't fun like this anymore!

  • RIP Jermanie Stewart (1957-1997).

  • I love this song ! I miss everything about the 80"s the music , the clothes it was an awesome time. Thanks for posting this !

  • this is probably playing in a Macy's somewhere...

  • @svenrozeboom LOL! So true... It seems "rocking songs" of 20-30 years ago have become today's "adult rock". At one time "Baby Love" by the Supremes was considered definitely a rock and roll song... Now, it's considered to be something like a 'ballad'...

  • he passed in 1997 from complications of AIDS

    So sad.

  • Anybody know what year he passed in?

  • Wow... Michael Jackson took so much inspiration from Jermanine Stuart's style...

  • @hodoboc where'd you get that idea?

  • Good Lord I hope the 90 or 80 fashion don't return, sexxychynaD

  • i luv luv jermaine

  • this is the music not all that bruno marz and lil wayne and mess like tht ........and im only 13, and i feel tht way i would like to become famous singer and hope to bring the well forgotten 80's back.

  • @suprememjfan Bruno Mars is good... but "L'il Wayne" is awful...

  • they can't even play music like this. i miss you music.

  • O_O The girl at 1:14 creeps me out!

  • 80s & 90s rocked

  • man it's funny how most of the fashion we found so popular then is comin back in style now slowly but surely i think we're gonna start seeing the bamboo earrings and the neon colored tights!!! lol loved da 80s

  • does anyone really care if he was gay or not it,s about the music not his gendre whoooo i,m straight got kids and i don,t keep banging on about that so all you who keep saying he was gay leave the poor man to rest in peace

  • great tune out of this world arrangement , it has a right torch of jazzy rythum

  • Where has all the talent gone??? RIP Amazing video such style love the 80's

  • cool!

  • OMG the title and the chorus are almost 100% the same as the 1999 UK Eurovision entry 'Say it again' by Precious! How this remained unnoticed at the time is a miracle because it would have resulted in disqualification!

  • - omgg we have the same hairstylee ! lls ' but people def. choose to be "homo" .

  • @lilmisscutie1995 You're right, my sister. Homosexuality is a CHOICE, not somethin' inborn. God bless!

  • @DaveWollenberg prue bull, where have you been lol

  • @davidmarc09 Look it up on google. type in 'is homosexuality a sin?' God bless!

  • @davidmarc09 - In hell visiting his father!

  • @DaveWollenberg - will you people take your stupid homo bs somewhere else!!!!! You and that stupid Lilmisscutie.

  • Such talent is sadly missed today.

    R.I.P.

  • @DallasHammster He would've been 53 this year.

  • awww the left ear=)

  • haha, I was 7 when this song was released - I loved it, the song has always stuck with me for some reason (as has alot of other random 80's stuff) and only now have I thought to use the web to track it down, unbeknown to me until now who sung it, or what the song was called! .... Good old web!!

  • I loved Jermaine and this song so much!!!!

  • nice boots

  • pop doesn't get any sweeter---still makes me smile. I hope those angel wings of yours are dusted with glitter and covered in sequins!

  • he is so straight in this video, totally into that girl

  • @sublimeade Its called "acting"

  • I wonder which one of those guys was his lover? I say the one with the dreads. He's a little too excited in this video.

  • @VIC999VIC na its defo the bass player at 1:46 lol

  • Of all his songs, this is has to be my favorite.

  • I remeber this song. It's nice. His hair was always beautiful! what would

make a nice looking and talented man chose to be a nasty homo? that

is sooo sad. The Devil is a liar! Praise God.

  • @Ellasings7 If you understood sexuality and got your head out of the old testament you would understand that people don't choose to be "homosexual". You either are or you are not. I guess it's OK for men and women to live all kinds of adulterous and lasciviosus lifestyles as long as they are not "homos" as you put it. Stop being a damn hypocrite. God is watching you too.

  • @eagleswing44

    U r right, man!!!

I don't see any problem to be gay or not!!!

What it really matter is : " LOVE, LOVE, LOVE , MORE LOVE!!!!"

    No love, no future, baby!!!

    Let's spread love around world!!!

  • @eagleswing44 - don't waste your time on stupid people. Clearly Ellasings7 is missing a lot - and I do mean a lot!

  • @Ellasings7 To be gay or not????

People don't choose to be gay, baby!!!

    We need study more!!!

    Remember: No love, no future!!!

Love is everything!!! God loves that, baby!!!]

    I love you too, okay???

  • jermaine was the shit... and his hair loved it... not bad on the eyes either...

  • i love 52:56

  • i love this song hes really cool i wish he was still alive so i could meet him

  • i LOVE jERMAINE SO MUCH because he sings so lovely, and he has great syle, I love his style, I mean, he would dress them under the table.I miss him, I was so sad to hear he passed, read where they were saying he was such sweet guy, really nice, I think that is so PRECIOUS, i HOPE HE did find true love before he left the earth.

  • Hit #15 soul, #27 pop in Billboard. RIP, Jermaine. God bless!
