I think they only really do commercial music. I don't think it's meant to top billboards. If you remember "PHamous" you'll notice that the video had them rolling in a Planet Hollywood limousine. There was definitely a marketing gimmick to that song. I really think they just try to be catchy and use beats that people can dance too. I personally like Midi-Mafia because they're entertaining to watch and the music isn't bad at all.
