I have an industrial piercing too, Leesha, but I'm having a hard time getting rid of the annoying pressure balls of hard tissue around the piercing site. Did you have those, and if so, how did you get rid of them, and how long did they take?

@lotrfreak2010 try changing your piercing pice to a larger one so it doesn't touche the hear, shave that part of the hair like you are doing like a mohawk so the hair doesn't get tangled and clean it like allways.

A friend of mine use to have that, and that help a lot =/

@Bulgaro I got them in the first place because the piercer used a large barbell and bent it so it wouldn't rub on my ear. It was a good idea in theory, but the metal began to rotate, and the changing angles of the metal was what gave me the bumps. Unfortunately I'm not up for shaving my head, so I'm just keeping it mostly tied back.

@lotrfreak2010 i have an industrial as well, and the keloids just go away as time goes on, theres really not much you can do. just be sure to clean it at least once daily and try not to touch it too much, or sleep on that ear at night either. if the keloids dont go away after a couple of months, you can go back to your piercer and have them check it out and make sure its not infected or anything. good luck! :)

@hearrtxjeany Ahh. Thank you! Is there anything specific you use when you clean it? I've just been using warm q-tips to get rid of the slight crusty stuff that's still kicking around, and using warm sea salt soaks.

@lotrfreak2010 i got kelloids when i got my tragus pierced and my piercer recommended Maderma which is a scaring cream. I tried it and it did reduced it quite a lot. it's not all gone but about 50% of the tissues shrunk. Hope this helps.

@lotrfreak2010 soaking your piercing in salt water should help that. make sure its not iodized salt though. You can get it at walmart, target, etc. Its just normal salt water. Soak it for about 10 minutes, if you want. Maybe 10. Diluted tea tree oil helps also. Make sure you dont soak/clean it too much. i had my tragus pierced about 5 months ago, and it got a little keloid, soo thats what i did to get rid of it. Good luck :) p.s. you can get tea tree oil at sallys beauty supply store.

@nataliaisphreshh Thank you! I did a bit of research and found out about the tea tree oil. Apparently crushed up aspirins mixed with a little lemon juice will also help in the toughest cases.

I had them too, you get BC powder which is basically crushed up aspirin and mix it with water and put it on the bumps at night and take it off in the morning.

do this until they go away

mine took maybe a week?

@lotrfreak2010 i'm sure this is probably coming too late but.....i got one of those and it was REALLY bad....i soaked cotton balls in warm salt water and put one on the front and one on the back of the keloid. i did it twice a day and went through like 8 cotton balls per soak (so 4 times) mine went away totally in a week....hope this helps!
