  • one of the top five bands ever to come out of ireland .brillant live an to meet .seen them many a time an shared a dooby with liam:] home was an album .great memories

  • i have loved this song, from the first time i was lucky enought to hear it, it evokes a se

nse of calm and pleasure, and is uplifting at the same time

  • they dont give him much time now he doesn't know whats gone wrong.- uve prob got to be getting on a bit to appreciate those lyrics(i'm not saying there's an age frame for good music) i first heard this track on one of my dads car tapes a good few years back,it's a gem of a track that gets better with age.

  • ChristChurch,.... ring, ring, ring-a-way! I love these lads! forever more...

  • They truly deserved world domination....should have been enormous....they had limitless depth of talent.

  • Oh I so agree Freddy, this album/cd/tape /fdownload whichever form you have it in (I had/have it in all formats) is class. Everyone rates People - and sorry boys if you ever log on it's not meant to be a criticism but you never topped Home. I had a bit of rubbish year in a mild way in '09 and each morning going to work I sought this track out it shifted my perspectives for the day shall we say.

  • I love this song as well. My wife and I left Chicago to visit family in Donegal. On the return trip we went to Dublin 1 day earlier because I had to see Christchurch in person. I don't know why, but I just had to see what they were singing about. I guess that's what great songs do to you. Thanks.

  • Great story! I can relate, and I also agree that this is a GREAT song!

  • @relaxednow right on

  • This one of a few songs that simply...make...me...cry...

  • ..Standing in the front row at Wolverhampton civic hall crushed against the barrier, gazing up at Liam.. ha, those really were the days :) What a gorgeous track.

  • I remember seeing them on Saturday Night Live, and they just cooked...They should have been a lot bigger than they were, I personally think that their music was just a little too intelligent for the masses of sheep.

  • Unfortunately, Freddy, most really good music always is. Oh well, their loss, right? : )

  • An old Flowers interview I probably still have somewhere said the song referred to the bells of Christ Church in Dublin, which could be heard from either Liam or Fiachna's apartment window while they were working on their songs. Any way, this is still one of my favourite songs of all time :)

  • That's intersesting ! I know Christchurch, at the top of the Dame St. It's nice along there. They are a great band. I am a 35 year old Scotsman and the band throws me back to being a teenager !!! Thanks for the posting.

  • still sounds fantastic all these years on.
