As far as acupuncture goes, it's an effective treatment for things such as pain relief, but it's the placebo effect at work. (power of suggestion) it does NOT matter where the needles are placed in order to work, which shows the whole meridians thing is complete nonsense. it doesn't even matter if the "doctor" knows what he's doing!
ALL that matters is the patient believe he is getting treatment. Hence acupuncture is just the placebo effect and sham treatment. Deal with it

Chinese government has always tried to deny and stamp out the fact that every human on this planet has chi and its abilities because of the fact that such knowledge scares them and makes people harder to control. They feel its their right to control such things, but they are doing a lousy job on this planet themselves.
