@MyPhotoSchool Umm...right. You know that it's salt, right? As in *nothing* lives there. If the rocket car races out here at the Bonneville Salt Flats haven't wrecked anything yet, then I doubt three photographers standing on the ground are going to count for much.
@MyPhotoSchool If it wasn't for photographers like Ansel Adams, no one would even care about National Parks. We're allowed to step on the salt if we want, thousands have already been there and done the same, including myself. Calm down.
Although best utilized for converging verticles and tabletop work, you can use the tilt and shift adjustments of a view camera (or tilt/sgift lens) for what you are doing, also.
I would have loved to have seen the effect of the 11mm lens on your Landscape Photography, particularly in relation to the angle of the camera on the tripod and the subject

The notices from the Park Ranger office quite clearly say "Keep Off The Salt Flats"
They have taken 100's of years to form and take only seconds to destroy ...its your heritage, the notice is there for a reason!

You're destroying this environment by walking on these salt flats!
Be responsible and don't give photographers a bad name. Read the notice at the car park and obey the rules!
