@richardosiz you got it right. Your yard bosses screwed up. Plus Govan blew you's out the water just like they did to Barrow and the same way Yarrows has done to Vospers. Clydebuilt my friends and don't forget it. Mounts Bay was ship 2 yet was delivered before this the Tyne built ship 1. Swan's started 6 months before Govan yet fell 6 months behind Govan. Jaap's eye indeed. The difference between Govan and Swans? Kvaerner. They saved Govan by sweeping away old attitudes. Swan's stayed still.

I work with this vessel when it comes down to Marchwood. Shields being my home town its sad knowing this is the last from the Tyne. Its also sad knowing how big the Tyne used to be in ship building and now its over. I carried out trials with this big-in and gather its not too bad after all. Plus it was needed because the Tristram, Galahad and bedivere and percy are finished with!

i served my time on the largs bay and the lyme bay and i think its a disgrace whats happened to shipbuilding on the tyne now the quicker that jaap goes the better.

Yes a Very Sad day for the Tyne & Myself, I worked along side this vessel when she was getting built in Swans, I took her to sea on CST & done 6 month on her when she left the Tyne! its a pity they took the Lymebay away
