  • This is one of the best movies on yt, no one else has done this from inside a side loader while its picking up bins. Great work Mitch and I can't wait to see some more of this type of footage. The double paddle went really well, the packer swept the hopper clean just in time for another bin and thats how the cycle went for the whole time. The body really doesn't seem as big on the inside as it does on the outside.

  • Dayummmmm :D :D Amazing how different the engine sounded!!! Something like a CNG truck here would NORMALLY sound! That was pretty phenomenal. I have to say it looks a lot less risky than I originally had thought, reading your post a while back on flickr. The only thing was the parts when you go real close to the packer....head easily could've gotten in between it and the body right there and that'd be it.

Otherwise when you do this again, just do like you did and consider the risks beforehand ;)

  • Do it with real garbage next time please? Ill go in the back to film it if you like? :D

  • @plasticwrappable Yeh I'm planning to, just gotta find the opportunity.

  • @MitchellM15 No probs dude, let us know if you need a hand filming :)

  • Wow, that looks fun!

  • hmm.. so thats how it looks like in there lol. not as i expected. i expected it to look like such in horror movie :p

i would be scared to death by the thought of how much spiders it might be in that green waste if i was you lol.

  • @Raave Yeh I was thinking about spiders, but I was pretty well covered up... not that that's going to stop them.

  • @MitchellM15 lol. very true that. they get through everything, lol.

  • Just have to ask mitch. how far would this driver go with the collecting if you havent got him to stop and you come out?

  • @Stuntshow17 He actually stopped and rung me to see how things were going, but we agreed to do a certain amount of bins until we pulled the plug.

  • @MitchellM15 ohh awesome. yeah thats a nice and safe setup :) really hoping to see more in the future. even with RL garbage :D great work! *cheers*

  • I love it!!!!!!

  • incredible

  • LEGEND !!! Best video to date Mitch, the only thing that I would suggest is to next time make sure the paddle bearings are well greased to stop that irritating squeaking (that is if you do it again)

In the video how many bins were collected ? ( I'm thinking between 20 - 40)

Also the way the collected material packs is exactly how I imagined it would be, I can't wait to find a driver/mate that would let me do that

  • @MegaDirtyHands LEGEND... that's the word I was after! lol Yeh the squeaking was hard to not hear in there, gotta keep things realistic though :P There were around 40 bins thrown in during this video.

  • Totally awesome! Do it again with actual garbabge!

  • Wow! Definately a youtube first. Keep up the good work and I agree it would be cool to see this with the garbage perspective as well.

  • wow... amazing video there. really cool. thought if it was not much light really well done. are you gonna do more like this in the future? by that i mean with other garbage than greens?

  • @Stuntshow17 PS: does take some balls to do that... great work :)

  • @Stuntshow17 I may one day, but not entirely sure on that one, all we can do is wait and see :)

  • @MitchellM15 ok. awesome video still! thanks alot for sharing! as said before. hope for more in future :D

  • do one with garbage not greens mate

  • OMG I work with garbage truck a year, I never get into the body of truck, the maximum I can only stand in hopper. I know that stand inside the truck body is damn dangerous, you might get crush. Be careful out their boy. Awesome video.

  • omg how did u get out at the end with it full

  • Thats awesome Mitch ! a youtube first forshure ! I hope you dont get in trouble for doig this tho !

  • Good thing the driver didn't keel over from a heart attack, only to be quickly replaced by someone unaware of your "stowaway "status ! The makings of 'Twilight Zone' episode, perhaps ?

  • @ClassicRefuseTrucks Oh now that was something I didn't think about! haha

  • awesome :D

  • best video I ever saw on youtube

  • good vid buddy! Thanks for post

  • Why won't you tell us where it was?

  • @Binboy97 Basically if barely anybody knows where I got this, nobody can really get in trouble.

  • This was totaly awsome. I always wondered what happens in side a sideloader. Thats for the post.

  • Some wicked footage bro!

  • Holy shit you guys are lucky you can do all this cool shit

  • @legodude24652 Lucky we CAN do this? haha Well I know I can... but we still can't if you know what I mean.

  • Great footage Mitch, but i have to say... I'm not a fan of this. Its way too dangerous, and obviously against OH&S laws. Its very easy to be killed doing this. With all your knowledge, I thought you would have known better.

  • @laserkeyboard oh&s laws are all horse shit anyway. take the fun out of everything!

  • @laserkeyboard I agree with you, doing what I did was obviously against the rules and dangerous to an extent. Even though it doesn't totally justify against OH&S factors, prior to capturing this footage I had considered the possible dangers I was exposed to and spoke with the driver, so this was not an impulse decision. This was just one of those things that you know is wrong, but you go ahead and do it anyway. We all take risks, and to get a shot like this one, I'm willing to take one :)

  • were yu in a warringah truck

  • damn! Thats awesome! I've actually thought about this a few times, neat to see it! Like Alan said, mostly branches and such so far, here its like 70% grass so the load could get really....rank out here LOL I wonder if anyone saw you hop in the hopper and not come out before the first dumped haha your so damn lucky you get to do stuff like this or ride on trucks, the most I've done was stand on the cab through one cycle and pack which was pretty awesome, but this is pretty chill

  • @3amrepmike3 I bet these shots cross a lot of minds... just being able to get it is the obstacle! These bins get loaded with a lot of grass too, just not growing season when I shot this, more like spring pruning =] We were thinking about someone seeing me when I got back in the truck, easily denied though haha I reckon any type of neat packing shot someone can get is priceless, just awesome footage regardless!

  • bloody fantastic footage you are like the Einstein of YouTube that is bloody awesome you had to plan the great escape out of all the grass clippings well done Mitch

  • Pretty stupid question but did the driver know you were inside?

  • @SitaEnvironmental haha Stupid question indeed... yes he knew I was inside.

  • That got me on the edge of my seat! i was just waiting till i see you panic and want to get out haha! nice work :)

  • bad ass video mitch

  • Well, this is undiscribeable! Was it fun to be in there while the truck was in action? Damn I would love to do this! Was it a little nerve racking at some points? Seems like your greens are mainly shrub trimmings. Talk about some hopper action! Truck sure fills up fast! I would be scared out of my wits in this beast! Wow. Probably your best video yet! This is definatly a like, fav, and beyond awesome trash truck video!

  • @CurottoCanMaster82 Oh well this was a very new and interesting experience, so it took me a moment to get used to, but otherwise I had a ball of a time in there! lol Wasn't ever really scared or worried, but the only thing which kept crossing my mind was spiders. Cheers for the words / appreciation =]
