What a pity you got a poorly trained, or untrained dog. And not fair on the poor dog either. Fortunately, there are a number of good training facilities around that offer guarantees and have good return polices. I hope you have better luck with your next K9 experience.

Hi Bill, I know there are a lot of excellent trainers in USA, but this Steve Phillips gives bad reputation to all of us. Unfortunatelly he is still in business, because not everybody knows that he is a con.

FYI a food alert dog won't alert on food. A good dog is trained off food except coming from his handler.

That was horrible. It's a shame anyone can call themselves a trainer.

Hi friends, good news: Today I was informed, that Steve Phillips was kicked out of the ESWDA. He cannot longer certificate in the name of this well known and serious Organisation.

Steve Phillips has been putting out shit dogs for years. We had purchased three supposedly trained detection dogs when we were in a jam for more dogs. When my handlers got there to pick up the dogs they had called me to tell me how horrible the dogs were. Steve Phillips has been and will always be a dishonest buisness man.

New York but now North Carolina Steve had told a False story on an EDD group about him finding a bomb but we checked it out and it was a lie to so the through him off the list people like him will always find someone to rip off

Hi rex, I think Steve was very busy all the years, a lot of " burned clients " are coming out. Yes he responded, but like always with big words and lies. Nothing like giving money back or some like this.

I did, but they did not respond. Beside, I was told, that he is not any longer representing an association. But we all should claim, were we can and public all our bad experiences with Steve. He should not con more people.

I think, he do not know better. This dog was for almost 3 months in training of Steve Phillips! I ordered a fully trained female narcotic lab with passive alert. I got a female Lab-Mix, which did not know to sit, not recognized drug odors and did not know how to search. The best: I was informed that the dog was trained on food-reward!!! How can a drug-dog make searches, at the presence of food? You will get alerts all the time!!!

I have bought trained dogs in several occasiones in USA and was allways satisfied. There are really good trainers there. But in this case, I was terribly fooled.
