I had some videos of an off-duty cop who always parks illegally and it pisses me off when they do, but I must be fair. This car is on-duty we really don't know if it's an emergency. It probably isn't but on-duty, yes, as long as he's not parked at a hydrant or placing anyone in danger by parking there, you have to keep it mind that it's city property parked on city property. If we are going to fight this fight I think it should be kept logical. I'm totally with you, though!
Has anyone read the code of criminal procedures or the penal codes of CA? Jeezzus!!!! So many opinions and no facts. Except for my facts Caught on video!
21458. (a) Whenever local authorities enact local parking regulations and indicate them by the use of paint upon curbs, the following colors only shall be used, and the colors indicate as follows:
(1) Red indicates no stopping, standing, or parking, whether the vehicle is attended or unattended, except that a bus may stop in a red zone marked or signposted as a bus loading zone.
22500. No person shall stop, park, or leave standing any vehicle
whether attended or unattended, except when necessary to avoid
conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a
peace officer
So, if a cop allows you to park in a red zone... you may... So where is your issue again? Oh yea, you are someone who goes out looking for reasons to complain. Good job man
all the cop had to do was put a light on and he would be good. but he is right.
