That is one of the most incredible things I've ever heard.

This when was my favourite piece of game music when I was a kid (I first played Turrican 2 when i was 6 years old) and hearing so much effort and being put into something I thought most people had forgotten about literally brings tears to my eyes.

I still laugh at fools who make fun of video game music. It's painfully obvious by now that video games have evolved, and that all the gifted composers have shifted their work to them (well, and movies). Like Koji Kondo, Nobuo Uematsu, Yasunori Mitsuda, Jack Wall or Jeremy Soule, Chris Hülsbeck is one of the modern masters.

Ich hab noch die CD's von Hülsbeck im Schrank liegen. Vol.1 "Shades" von 1991. Gab es eine Vol 2 ? Und den Apydia Soundtrack von 1992

Hatte ich mir damals bei der ASM bestellt... LOL !

Von Jochen Hippel (Wings of Death) hab ich auch die CD. Der war aber meiner Meinung nach nicht so erfolgreich und gut wie Hülsbeck.

Gab es eigentlich jemals danach wieder einen solchen Held in der Computer-Musik-Branche? Ich denke ich nicht.

Ich kann mich noch gut daran erinnern, wie ich meinen Amiga damals an meine Stereoanlage angeschlossen habe, um seine Musik auf Kassetten aufzunehmen.

Das waren noch Zeiten! :-)

Also, muss auch ganz ehrlich gestehen, dass mich dieser sound unwahrscheinlich berührt....hab damals (1990 oder früher :-)) auch alle Turrican-Teile gezockt, vorallem Teil2. Die Musik fand ich damals schon mehr als geil. Habe alsdann alle Musikeinlagen jeglicher Amiga-Games erst auf Tape und dann auf CD gespeichrt. So geht dir Erinnerung nie verloren. Thx Chris
