@grapesophie might be that your recording in the wrong file, m2ts is read by vegas, but i dont think the others are

when you said to slow down a clip you hold "ctrl" and click and drag it, then reder it and then slow it down again. how do you "render" as you said?

also when im finished with my video and i "render as" what do i render it as? i want to be able to post on youtube and facebook without losing quality. thanks!

I gave ya a like for taking the time to instruct but dang brother... you're doing a tutorial on how to edit video. Please try and make the tutorials with no errors or potty breaks. You can edit that out. Also the Skype notifications in the lower right hand corner are very distracting.

my sony vegas 11 keeps freezing. it worked fine at first, but now it continues to freeze. i even updated to the latest version.. :( i have a decent system with a fairly new i-series cpu and 8 gbs of ram as well.

@Cajunomics i think i found out.. it seems to freeze when i import a certain video file type "AVCHD Video (.m2ts)" but again it use to work fine.. it appears other video file types are working now..
