Because it's so cleverly done. I don't think I've ever seen a trailer for an album before. The way she superimposes all that new audio on top of "Tidal" ('especially love the added harmony at 0:13) and the video of various recording/rehearsal sessions synced with the song actually adds to the music. It feels more "live". It's fascinating. (Any of you old-timers thnk she looks a little like Todd Rundgren in that last shot? And isn't that silly noise she makes to end the clip fun?)

Yup, it's Tidal, but a lot of it used in this preview isn't on the album, so I'd say it's a demo version of Tidal.

Yeah, Tidal. It was the song that gave her the most trouble, but I like the end result. The big dramatic ending here is really cool though.

I realize now that I what I want now (gah, so spoiled, I know) is a disc with just the bg music and the background vocals. Instrumentals are amazing, but I'd love to hear more of how she layers her voice :D

Well if you know about spectrasonics. They seem to have done all the work. Just click a button and those hours of sampling have been done in seconds :). Bliss. But i think there is some fun with the sampling things. I'ev done a coke can, lol

yes, she did use the Edirol R-09 because I saw her using one in a blog a few months ago.

But, I am getting the Zoom h4n. It's better but slightly bigger.

It has more choices for field microphoning. Research and you'll know which one's best. Hope this helps.

ok so i have this CD and i have to say, its not that good to me. Frou Frou's only album and Speak for yourself are still the best to me. i dont really care for this album though. it seems so minimalistic compared to Details and Speak for Yourself. I still support Imogen however.

i'm actually rather upset about that, because i was most looking forward to that little bit, and i listened and listened and it never came :(
