It's astonishing! What annoys me more is when scores of fans of that Leona chick say Leona is the best thing this country has produced when Bev could sing crop sized circles around Leona on her worst day. Or when someone says "she's up there with Leona", pfft, she's been up and above what Leona could ever be for 15 years at least.

A really great reply. You know what I think also - Perhaps because she's this FIERCE, mature, intelligent person - She can't be pushed around, under-paid, exploited, manipulated, commanded by the likes of Simon Cowell or whoever. Maybe that's why she's not more 'known' in the mainstream because the greedy music moguls won't give her the crazy exposure people like leona and other x-factor snores get.

Yep that's the thing I love most about her, she's an intelligent, mature person who hasn't settled for "commercialisation", she's stayed honest to herself and true to the art form of music.

@vocalskills I'm certainly inclined to agree with you. I'm a Yankee and I just hate that we don't get to hear British artists the way you get to hear American artists. I love what you're doing with music in the U.K. It amazes me that you know Monica, Amerie, and etc. We ignorant Yanks don't know of artists like a Beverley Knight. She's an incredible talent. I love her. British talent is awesome and will always be. I love you people across the pond. Keep doing what you're doing.
