lobsters, while are very sensitive to tempurature dont feel it when they are boiled. they just go to sleep.

Sorry but it is more humane to kill a lobster, because waiting to kill them before you eat them is ANIMAL CRUELTY. It is safe to eat dead lobsters because you can kill them after a few days and cooking food kills the bacteria and makes it taste good and it is safe and common sense.

If you drop a live lobster into boiling water it will die almost instantly. The screaming sound that you hear is from pressurized air escaping from the lobsters exoskeleton. It's not the lobster screaming, because they can't. So, boiling the lobster alive is no worse than cooking any animal that you kill before hand... all this talk about torturing the poor sea-cockroach is kind of pointless...

@SiggyStern All killing is "cruel" there is no way around it. But it has to be done. Do you think a Shark or a Killer Whale ripping an animal to bits is not cruel? Or a spider pouncing on a mouse and injecting it's fangs.

Most people know how animals are killed. It's about as humane as you can get, they are electrocuted and stunned then have their throats cut.

It's not even been proven that Lobsters and Crabs feel pain. Their concept of "pain" is not the same as ours.

these chemicals do not make a difference in seconds, it takes around two minutes. kill them with the knife and take out the intestinal tract BEFORE you cook them. unless your cool with some of the most rare illnesses from shellfish.

This isn't entirely true. You can mercifully kill a lobster with a simple stab just behind the front carapace (there by severing its spinal cord) just prior to cooking.

I've cooked hundreds of live lobsters. Never heard a single one scream. The other pita vid about the pregnant lobster trying to save it's eggs from the boiling water is a plain lie! Pregnant females are thrown back! They are never kept!
