  • Excellent bit!

  • Glad to see a Marple-Newtown High School grad. do well.

  • @stas3h Thanks for your comment and reminding me of fond MN High School memories!

  • Back in the mid 70's, ensemble TV sit-coms were big and Maude was all about woman speaking their mind and liberation!!! Maude had a dry sense of humor that was a complement to the other actresses she worked with like Betty White! Her theme song is sung here with a sense of fun and conviction!

  • Beautiful women but I cannot STAND "Maude"!

  • Thanks for all your comments, especially the comments from my girlfriends formerly of The Golddiggers who have shared their love and respect for Lee Hale (our mentor, musical director and producer of the Dean Martin TV Shows).

    God bless,

    Maria Lauren

  • Thia is a great piece of nostalgia ... The Golddiggers on TV, the "womans lib" era the Rat Pack and the "Maude" TV show theme. It's also nice to see the wonderful relationship you and your daughter now have. How your "Growing in Love." Blessings to you both.

  • You girls are constant reminder of how beautiful shows like Dean Martin where to audiences that watched each and every week. Maria you haven't changed very much over the years. You are still very beautiful.

  • Always fun to look back at the glamour that was once a part of show business! Glad to see you're still representing it! :-)

  • With Love to Lee Hale & Neil Daniels:

We could never thank you enough for keeping the legacy of Dean Martin and The Golddiggers alive! Lee, we were so lucky to have you guide us musically, making us ready to co-star with the biggest legends in show biz! Neil, your magazine, The Dean Martin Fan Center is full of these glamorous days of Vegas & TV! Even friends of my daughter, Marianna, love to hear about my performing with the Rat Pack .. so many stories!

    Thanks again,

    Maria Lauren

  • Hello Lee,

What a blessing it has been to have been guided by you. You are such a talent and beautiful man. When you put me and my "sisters" together at NBC in 1978, I had no idea how it would change my life. Because of you, I have fulfilled so many of my dreams. I have worked with the likes of Dean Martin and Bob Hope.I've met some amazing people along the way. I even got to sing for President Reagan. I can't tell you how much your gentle spirit has blessed me. Thank you my friend. Love, Marie

  • I had 8 wonderful years with The Golddiggers.

You, Lee were there when I auditioned in early "78" at NBC studios. I have always thought of you as one of my greatest mentors. Television with Dean .. Theater with Bob Hope..The experience of working with you and of course Dean Martin! Legends! I am still the best of friends with the girls..My sisters on stage!

Lee thank you for mentioning my name Linda Snook in "Back Stage with Dean"..a real honor!

    Your fan,

    Linda Regan-Bott

  • How exciting to see the past in the present! I've had dreams come true thanks to Dean, my talented Golddigger buddies and you Lee, for your vision & creativity. Thank you.

I saw them on TV & then I was one, chosen from thousands! Thrilling working with the ENTERTAINMENT LEGENDS OF THE CENTURY! Where else can you sing with Frank Sinatra, do TV Specials with anybody who "was" anybody & yet, still after decades be excited for each others accomplishments:albums, talk shows, books...XOX Robyn

  • Dear Lee,

With the sexiest legs in town! I first fell in love with Lee (no-really! a schoolgirl crush lasting years) in 1969 when I appeared on the Dean Martin Show with the Kids Next Door. Thanks for encouraging me to come back and audition for GDs. Thanks for my Tiffany bell when I was on the road for Christmas away from family. Thanks for letting me fill Ruth Buzzi's shoes at the Henry Fonda Theatre. Thanks for "Prostate Blues" you wrote. Thanks for 17 fantastic years.

    Love U,

    Peggy Gohl

  • Dear Lee,

I'll never forget the day I auditioned for the Golddiggers at NBC. I stood a few feet in front of you singing, "Love Will Keep Us Together" a cappella & Love continues to keep us together! Thank you for choosing me. My life has been forever changed since that day!

Your continued support and wisdom continues to be a blessing to me as I keep on singing and digging for heavenly gold. Also, thanks for sharing your talent with SOS & PDS. Now, "That's Amore!"

    w/Thanks & Love,

    Joyce Garro

  • Dearest Lee,

Several decades ago you gave a young girl from Cincinnati with 'stars' in her eyes the opportunity of a lifetime. Your insight into my abilities launched a career that has taken me on a beautiful journey starting as a Golddigger with the Dean Martin Show and working with Dean for over 12 years, to the screen, and now to my own talk show. Always encouraging you never missed a beat in supporting and applauding my every turn.

    With thanks and love,

    Patti Pivaar Gribow

  • Here's to Lee Hale, what a joy to see you all. Love, your Golddigger sis Sheryl 1969

  • Maria, wonderful tribute to Lee Hale, our talented leader and hero. Keep up the fabulous work -- what voices, looks, and hearts you all have. love, Sheryl, 1969 Golddigger

  • Oh wow what incredibly talented girls, especially that georgeous blonde, what was her name? The guy that got her is awfully lucky. I watched the show every Saturday night and dreamed of marrying one of these women.

  • Great memories... I'm glad to see a tribute to Lee Hale. He is the musical genius who created showstopping material that grew the Golddiggers into leading ladies that entertained for several decades.

Thank you Lee for seeing past the image and believing in our talent.

  • We share a special sisterhood ... the stories we could tell ... touring with "Showstoppers" like Frank & Dean, Bob Hope ... Marianna still remembers when we opened for Dean in Vegas!

I'm so proud of all my talented Golddigger sisters and the happy days that we still share! Some of us still performing together, after all these years!

    Love, Maria

  • It brought back great memories seeing all you beautiful girls performing. I was very much in love with Maria. If this group of girls are still performing please let know.

    Devoted fan.

  • Those memories will last forever. Not only did we have the opportunity to work with such greats as Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra, but we made lasting friendships.

To all my girlfriends.... you helped to make my dreams come true.

    Love you all,

    Patti G.
